when u get leftovers just refresh the page it doesnt appear on the page but it adds the avvie to your collection.
i just spent 68k and my pet was 126 lbs.

The strategy I used was feeding my pet until it was bloated, putting it in the NeoLodge, going to Kelp and buying one item on the menu. After about three tries I got the avatar even though the event didn't show up on the page.

I had to get this avatar twice!
The first time on my old main I got it on my 1st try, while on my second account it took me 2 tries.
The first time my pet was bloated and in the Hotel, while the second time it was very bloated and in the hotel.
To be honest I don't know about the weight factor being true.... the pet I used the second time weighs 100 lbs, while the first time my pet weighed 132 lbs
So I guess it's just about luck eh

Congratulations!
I usually get lucky in these nps sinks, took me about 10k for the Lever of Doom avatar using the GM script on this site... but I'm missing practically every random avatar >.>
