I've never built a computer before and actually chosen the parts myself, so I'm having a bit of trouble doing this to be perfectly honest.

Essentially, my uses for this computer are going to be:
  • Casual browsing and schoolwork
  • Heavy photo editing and web development
  • Playing WoW
I want to have:
  • USB 3.0 Support
  • An SSD for Windows and other applications and a regular HD for all else
  • Dual Monitors
Here is my current build, save for a power supply which I'm researching how to choose now :p :
THIS BUILD DOES NOT HAVE A COMPATIBLE MOBO AND VIDEO CARD, FIGURING THAT OUT.

What do you mean you're not sure what to do about PCI slots? You're not sure how many you'll need or how much bandwidth or what?

I'm honestly just clueless about what I need and what I should have.

I'll post my build in a few minutes to show you :p

Well you'll need your graphics card obviously, and depending on the size of it, it may require multiple slots even if it only plugs into a single one. Then you just have to decide if you plan to add things like sound cards in the future. It's always good to have spare PCI slots but you don't need to go overboard.

Is there anything you think you might need to add in future that may require one? It can be anything from sound cards to additional ethernet ports.

You need a different mobo, that one won't work with the graphics card you have chosen. You need one that is PCIE 2.1. Or you could choose a card that is PCIE 2.0 which would work with that mobo.

Also, Ripjaws yay yayeee

Womp.

Didn't realize that, thanks :p

Time to figure that out.

Opinion:

Would you guys wait for the Ivy Bridge processors coming out in a few months?
