Hello Folks,
This is my first signature in probably a year. I felt like dusting off the photoshop and giving it a whirl. I'm exceptionally terrible at adding text so if anyone would want to help me out I'd be forever grateful. I have 4 different versions to choose from. My inspiration for this 'project' was all of the Occupy movements and a group of people I somewhat admire, Anonymous. Please tell me what you think of them, don't be gentle ;]. I still have the .psd so I can change pretty much anything.

Can't really explain is but something feels off about the ones with the guy fawkes mask.

I reluctantly agree, I couldn't get the blending just right with the mask on

Apart from the masked ones, they're pretty good as signatures go. Can't help but feel that a little more effort could be applied to spruce up the background a little more.

This tag is pretty much just C4D spam with a badly rendered image on top.

The C4Ds are sporadically placed, with no perceptible flow, and the edges of the render are soft erased so much that they are transparent (making your character look like a ghost).

I'm not going to explain what flow is. This tutorial does though:

The scan lines clash with the C4Ds. Generally scan lines and C4Ds don't work well together... especially if the scan lines are above the C4Ds. It also kind of ruins the depth. (And scan lines limit the flow, because they only allow one direction of flow, which is 45 degree diagonal. Not that this tag had any flow in the first place.)

But it's mainly render selection. Pick renders that are easy to work with. Renders facing straight foward are extremely difficult to work with, and so are renders that are just standing arbitrarily with no interesting pose. The one you chose falls in both categories, while a better render would fall in neither.

Also, never try to soft-erase the background away. Rendering with the polygonal lasso or pen tool looks better. And you can definitely find pre-rendered images of almost anything that you would ever need online, if you don't want to render them yourself.

You'e 100% correct, thank you. I'll take a look at that tutorial. Is there anything good about it? How'd I do with my color selection? Is it fairly matched to the render? You're right about the direction and the random c4d spam. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like with the renders and brushing hidden one by one. I guess I REALLY didn't take direction into consideration lol. Also, I'll upload my PSD if anyone feels like messing around with it.
