Oh golly the times. Part of me still enjoys playing some of the games or the turdle races and playing those legitimately, but yeah. I started cheating after I had played for about three years. I started off with Shyster's autobuyer only purchasing neocola tokens from the space shop. I was making neopoints faster than I ever had before.
I worked so hard to build up my first 100k, I would play games constantly, hope the turdle races paid off. When they didn't I was devastated. I always tried to have at least 10k or so. I remember how difficult it was to try and consistently train my pet. I remember playing games for hours to see a measly 15k. It all added up. I remember my first "big" purchase of an iron lupe sword before it got nerfed and it's value decreased. I remember joining a guild called the "warrior lupe pack" and going to war against other lupe-guilds and for the most part winning.
Then I started cheating. I don't think it cheapened the experience at all, I was in 6th and 7th grade when I was playing legit. Cheating just gave me the means to branch off and meet other cool people on forums, learn more about computers, and eventually leave neopets without much second thought. Now I'm back. Woo.
