[iomega]

A user script is code written in a programming language that allows you to control a piece of software. For this guide, I’ll be focusing on scripts written to be used on Neopets. These scripts will alter the way your web browser handles each page, they’re scripts that will improve the Neopets experience by adding in features that make your life that much easier.

Step #1 – Prepare Your Browsers

Chrome Users

• Tampermonkey: Chrome has userscript support built in so you won’t need to download anything else to run the scripts. However, some scripts have Greasemonkey-specific code in the script and Chrome won’t be able to handle that. So to run those scripts you’ll need to download this. It doesn't always work unfortunately

Firefox Users

• Greasemonkey: This is the add-on that will be used to run the scripts.

Opera Users

• Opera also has built-in support for userscripts so no addon is needed. Make a folder where you would save the scripts (right click - save as on the link leading to the script) and then go to Preferences - Advanced tab - Content - Javascript (enable) - Javascript options and then input the location to the folder with the scripts. As with Chrome, not all scripts will work. (Shout out to Cyo for bringing this to my attention)

  You have to change a few things first:
  Line 27 - Type in your pets name in the space where it says 'PETNAMEHERE'
  Line 30 - Type in your opponents ID #. You should be able to see their ID if you hover over their name
  Line 130 and 133 - where it says: javascript:activate_equip(7); Change the number inside the bracket to the weapon position you want to use.

  This script will add in a "Quicklinks" box to the Neopets side bar. It should appear right under "Neofriends (Beta!)" section. There are a lot of links in the original script so I recommend you edit it to only include the links that you use/want.
  
  To edit, first open the script in a text editor. You should see:
  

  var quicklinks = new Array(

  The code immediately under this is for the different links. If you want to add your own it needs to be in the format:
  

   ['TITLE','URL'],

  Remember to include the comma at the end (unless it's the last link). For example, the code for just the crossword and the forgotten shore would be:

  Puts a link under every item that when clicked will show the SW price for that item. Click again and it'll take you to the shop. Works for the inventory, user shops, SDB, employment agency, market, quests, training school, kadoatery, kitchen quests and quickstock.

  Bumps any neoboard you want. Just go to the board, and turn this script on and it will keep bumping the board until you tell it to stop. Great for people selling stuff on the Trading board or Shop Ads board.

  Gives you the security of having a PIN without having to type it in for everything you do.
  
  To add your PIN, edit line 27 of the script.
• SDB Upgrade (download)

  When you mouseover "Remove?" you'll be able to select the options to mass remove all or mass leave one.
  It will then fill in all of the items on the page with your selection.
  
  Where the page used to say "Remove One" it now has the options:
  RO - Remove One
  RA - Remove All
  LO - Leave One
  If you click the link and already have your PIN filled in (or don't have a PIN set) then it will remove those items immediately. Otherwise it will only fill in the box with the desired value.
  
  Clicking in the box will remove the value to make it easy to change.
  If you don't put in anything then it will change to "0".
• Shop Wizard Addon + Identical Search (download)

  What this does is it adds the lowest seller of a item you have found so far to every refresh on the shopwizard so that you always can get the best deal. Also adds identical to the searcher as it's a small annoyance of mine.
  if the items tend to stick (shouldn't now but if they do) you can simply go back to the shopwizard search page to clear out the stored item information.

  Access the options by clicking on the '?' on the header. It makes it easy to see which stocks you'd like to buy or when your stocks have matured and are ready to sell. If you use the link in the module to purchase your stocks, it will keep track of the fact that you've already made a purchase today. It'll appear on your side bar when you're on the "My Portfolio" page.

  Removes 'New in NC Mall' and 'New Games' tables to make room for the News. Removes scrolling from the News table.

I love greasemonkey! I use some of those scripts too. I also prefer the scripted Bilge Dice AP to the one in PM, it has a higher win rate imo.

not right now, although I also have some others flying around (shop pricer, shopwiz search helper, some more APers (snowwars, cliffhanger, dice-a-roo, pyramids), ...)
anyway, pretty much all of those already exist in one way or another in the program manager, so I never gave them out as it just didn't seem useful enough for others to me

anyway, I could probably add some kind of "talk to person xyz saying abc" to the path-movement (for even more automatization) for the NQII one, however someone would actually have to gather the data and adjust the paths then xD

Wouldn't an auto refresh script (like this one) work the same/be more convenient to get refresh avatars (or bd challengers) rather than individual scripts for individual refresh avatars though? o:
(Since you can edit which page(s) the script will refresh on)
