Now, the myth that TNT gives subsidies to Codex is almost as much a lie as Retired Members having access to the Codex Nudes Directory.

To answer the question: Yes, TNT knows about this site which is why we recommend not posting your username here. lol

They've sent cease and desist letters to other sites. We were served one too but deflected it through some luckI think it'd be pretty sad if TNT cared enough about this site to bother suing it.
In any case, you aren't breaking any laws by using automated bots. They can write what they want to write in their EULA. Writing something in an EULA doesn't make it a law. But I'm no lawyer

Aren't the programmers themselves more likely to get cease and desist letters than the actual site? I remember way back when Josh saying he had received multiple letters. They've sent cease and desist letters to other sites. We were served one too but deflected it through some luck
. I don't know if they've actually taken anyone to court over it though. But since Neopets was acquired by Viacom, it seems like they don't care as much. I mean, of the entire Neopets market, less than 1% of them use bots. Kind of dumb to go after so few people when you can focus your efforts on more, fruitful, initiatives that actually make money. But I've seen Neopets do dumber so I wouldn't put it past them.

Speaking of which, what ever happened to Alias?

He was the reason we got one of our letters

Interesting. He was the reason I ended up at Codex. I was on GzP when his mod account got hacked and a keylogger was posted, and I heard Codex was safer.Joined the Army, I believe. Maybe I should have kept up with him
. He lived about 2 hours away from me too.
He was the reason we got one of our letters. We were hosting his site which had some sketchy stuff on it

Like neopoint selling sites and sites that sell neopet item's... since that is a clear violation of the terms and conditions.
On a site like this... it would be hard to prove anything is actually happening since they cant prove any of us actually use the programs
plus we dont trade for USD... even though a lot of us accept "other" as payment =P

In all honesty... I think first priority would be to shut down, or bring cases against sites that sell their items for real money.

yeah i will agree. there are plenty of NP selling websites which still exist today. they would probably cause neopets to lose money. Codex is pretty harmless, maybe even help them gain more revenue with crazy amount of pageloads
