Ouch. That's a bummer you lost that.
I just don't venture into the boards unless I need something from someone like a lend, or if I'm buying/selling. And even then I don't like to. Neoboards are lame. .___.
Eh, I pretty much grew up on the boards. I joined shortly after the site launched in 1999 and I pretty much stay on the Help Chat, where everyone who has been there for any amount of time knows who I am.
I like answering questions and helping people.

I think they need to do exactly what their TOS says, purge accounts after 2 years of inactivity and it should be done automatically IMO. It shouldn't be something that has to be "initiated", seems like a rather silly thing to me.
I couldn't imagine after 2 years of not logging in, having some sudden interest in playing again. -shrugs-
I just think Neopets' customer service, all around, is horrid and unprofessional. I think it's because people who ran Nickelodeon services are now heads of Neopets and I don't think they realize how much of a large base of users are over 18, have been playing Neopets since they were teens.
When it comes to kids, they don't really expect much from customer service. They just sorta deal with stuff and move on, or just quit. Adults, not so much. We bitch and complain. ;D
Their customer service has been a joke from the start really. Especially in the beginning. I was fortunate enough to be selected as a "volunteer monitor" back in the day. So I sorta got an insight on how things are done (or not done lol) and I created some enemies on the staff because I'm rather....outspoken. They did a lot of things I didn't agree with, such as doing special things for their friends they wouldn't do for any regular user. (Which, I fully took advantage of at points Lol) They just...don't care. All of their responses, for years, were copy and pasted. They did that so they wouldn't be lying when they said they don't have "auto responses".
Like once, there was an issue with Shop Sizes being reset to 0 and while everyone who wasn't friends with a staff member had to rebuild their shop and pay the money, people like HRobi had their shop size restored. (I sat and watched as her shop size jumped hundreds of sizes with each refresh, something that's impossible to do manually) Blah blah blah I could go on for hours about all the crap I've seen and witnessed. Lol They're just unprofessional, which is sad because usually Viacom isn't so....sloppy.
