Are there any safety precautions that traders should take to lessen the chance of getting an account frozen?

Mainly, I'm talking about selling Neopoints for "other".

When you transfer the Neopoints, should I send only a certain amount at a time?
Or could the other person put up one of the cheap lab ray pieces, and then I'll "pretend" that I didn't know it wasn't the good piece, and offer 800k?

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

    • Don't be silly
    • Take things easy and slowly
But yeah, pretending and making yourself look as innocent as possible is good!! If you're gonna be moving large amounts of NP, try converting them into ETS items (Baby PB for 600k, Royal/Royal PB for 1.6mil, Gbomb for 8mil, etc) rather than setting up lots of 'suspicious'-looking trades/auctions ^^

converting to ETS is probably the best way to go, otherwise just send a little bit at a time without making it look like you're funneling nps. Use proxies to avoid chain freezes if caught.

Gifting is pretty safe. And don't send to many different accounts all at the same time.

The last time I did it, the buyer put a few cheap r99 on trade because he wanted pure. x)
Somehow I think the seller is safer than the buyer though, lol.

You should definitely try to transfer it as ETS.
Use the Trading Post since people cannot see the offers other people make.

If you use auctions, other people can see that personX is selling a Christmas PB for 5 million NP.
That may raise a few flags.

    Thanks for the tips!

So, is ETS "easy to sell"?

Anyone know if TNT looks at all trades and offers? Or do they just look at the ones that have been reported?

Yeah ETS are easy to sell. Baby paint brush gets sold within seconds. (At 590k-595k though, not full price).
I think there's too many trades and offers for them to look at all, so probably when you're reported and when they're checking your account for suspicious activity.

The only sure way to not get frozen is to not play Neopets :D But if you insist on it... Make sure you put time between each transfer and then selling it.

I've heard of people holding items for 4 months before selling and I've heard of people selling a few days later with nothing happening, so the risk is really just up to you and your style.

If I use a program, it's mainly on weekends, but then I play legit on the site for a couple hours too, just clicking around, playing a few games whatever.
Weekdays I just do dailies, games and a little bit of manual RSing

Does anyone know whether you are more likely to be frozen from AB'ing in main shops as opposed to AB'ing in the AAA only?

    -edit-

since this is about "Safety precautions to not get your account frozen"
I run one of the game programs for about 30-40 minutes after my daily session of AB'ing with every shell.
That way its not just some account logging in everyday to AB for 3 hours and then signing off, day, after day, after day...
That way it at least looks like someone is playing some sort of game.

I've only been frozen twice (one time for an inappropriate username and one time because I was stupid and messed with SSing before I understood how to use it) but I haven't been cheating for very long so I'm not really sure what to say. If you have more than one 'main' account, or more than one account where you earn NP make sure you use proxies to avoid an IP ban.

I have also started doing something that I didn't do before... and ill explain why in a minute.

I use to go on neopets with one of my shells using say proxie #1 and then I would log out and log into another shell using proxie #2.... you know, the way everyone else does.
But one day I decided to go to google after switching proxies and checking my IP. Google was giving me back the address to the first proxie i was using.
I use high speed, high anonymity, private proxies. But somehow google was reading some information that was telling it that it was proxie #1 even though i had switched to proxie #2.
Then i started to wonder... what if neopets can do this?..
Instead of risking it, now I delete all my recent history, cookies, cache, and active logins before I switch proxies.
I'm probably just being paranoid but i rather be safe than sorry.
