Ok this is my prediction for tomorrow:

Entry 15: For a moment, they all stopped and stared at each others eyes. Rutu said "We are doing it wrong, we can't decide it this way. Let's write our names on a piece of paper and organise a drawing to decide who gets which egg." They all agreed with Rutu and forgot everything which has been discussed before. Then Hurok took Clockwork Negg to Brightvale according to the results of the drawing.

-THE END-

Congratulations, only 1 Neopian guessed correctly on the first day of guessing, winning him Meridell Sword of Life. See you next not-so-logic event.

That would be both hilarious and cruel.

Somehow, I wouldn't put it past them to do this on the last day XD

*You can change your guess anytime between now and the end of the day on 4/17 NST, but remember, the earlier you submit a guess, the better your reward! The correct answer will be revealed on 4/18.

Argh, I'm not changing my answers for the third time. Nothing matches up my logic in the latest 2 entries anyway.
For all we know, as long as we gave a guess (perhaps a wrong one) on the first day we're all going to receive the same price. Nothing in this quote says otherwise. :/

According to my logic square, I've come up with Rutu-Shenkuu. Today's clue finalized it by eliminating Kiko Lake. Can't see any errors and I luckily I happened to guess that to start!

I did not think this would happen with this puzzle, but now I am so lost. The only way any of my old logic stands true now is if Rutu is no longer in Shenkuu.

No matter how many times I redo my charts, I keep getting the same answer when it comes to professions.
Voughn MUST be the unknown profession since there would be absolutely no reason for him to need to reject taking the clockwork negg when it was already decided and agreed upon that he would take the Cloud negg.
That means only Selvin could possibly carry the Clockwork Negg, and with KL out of the equation it must be
    Selvin - Altador
Since noone aside from the Unknown Profession and the Wizard can take the Clockwork negg.
After figuring out Voughn's profession the rest kind of falls into place.

At this point using the above logic, we know Selvin has the Clockwork Negg. The question is where is he taking it?
Not LD, Brightvale (afraid of both) or Kiko Lake (plant negg). He must be going to either Altador or Shenkuu.

The stargazing comment following the information about Rutu WANTING to go to Shenkuu has me thinking again. Even if Shenkuu is more moon based and Altador is more star based, I don't understand the point of them having written down "Rutu is going to Shenkuu and stargazing is great in Altador!" It just makes no sense. When Voughn voiced his opinion on wanting the cloud negg nobody objected and "it was decided" so I'm left thinking that someone did object to Rutu going to Shenkuu because THEY wanted to go there and "stargaze". Maybe that means the unknown profession is an Astronomer? It's shaky ground over here with this theory, however it's the only possible explanation when you consider Voughn MUST be the mystery profession.

I'm under the impression that the unknown profession is Astronomer. Therefore I believe Voughn is actually the one going to Shenkuu with the cloud negg.

IF Voughn is heading to Shenkuu with the Cloud Negg, that leaves Rutu as the carrier of Plant or Glass.
I don't care whose blacksmith/knight/explorer all I know for certain is that based on professions alone Rutu must be knight/explorer and therefore cannot take the clockwork negg.

    My head hurts.

Kiko Lake isn't compleeeettely eliminated >w< The plant Negg was just supopsed to go there, but then the basket was damaged, so it might not have been taken yet/at all~

    >Unfortunately, the next morning the plant Negg's deliverer noticed that the wicker basket in which the Negg was to be transported had a huge tear along one of its lower corners.
(Totally not doing some wishful thinking because I chose Selvin/Kiko Lake on the first day ahah.. hah.. ah.. ;_; )

Voughn is taking the Cloud Negg.
    Glass Negg goes to Brightvale
    Blacksmith takes the Sand Negg
Plant Negg goes to Kiko Lake

That leaves the Clockwork Negg with Rutu in Shenkuu.

Edit: Woops! Didn't see your post Turnip... Hmm damn hopefully that isn't the case. I already changed my answer >_<

This is what my logic puzzle looked like after today's clue:
    Spoiler

Rutu and the Knight are both mentioned separately in Entry 5.
I think I had another reason for ruling that out, but ill go over it again to make sure.

Okay, Rutu is ruled out as the Knight/Explorer because using the logic puzzle we're left with him only being able to carry the Clockwork Negg.. and we know that nether of them carry it... therefore Rutu isnt either one of them :p

    (if that makes sense)

But Rutu can't have the clockwork Negg as he must be the knight/explorer

Using my logic puzzle Rutu is ruled out of the unknown profession though leaving him unable to carry the clockwork negg.. I'll update this post when I'm home from class with my puzzle.

This is the right answer, not Rutu, nor Selvin is carrying the negg. TNT does.

It's easier to figure out if we only use data about where each Negg is going.

I started off with this base:
    Posted Image

    We also know all this:
    • Plant Negg goes to Kiko Lake
    • Glass Negg goes to Brightvale
    • Sand Negg doesnt go to Altador or Shenkuu (as Rutu goes to Shenkuu and we're told that Rutu isn't the Blacksmith)
    • Cloud Negg is taken by Vaughn, therefore it doesnt go to Shenkuu
That leaves Shenkuu as the only option for the Clockwork Negg to go to.

Using my logic puzzle Rutu is ruled out of the unknown profession though leaving him unable to carry the clockwork negg.. I'll update this post when I'm home from class with my puzzle.

But you aren't focusing on just where the Neggs are going if your still saying Rutu must go to shenkuu.

It doesn't help that the journal entries are written badly. Not just vaguely or anything, but the writing is just terrible. They changed styles at least twice and frankly it's so incredibly vague that I started thinking they don't really mean to separate names from professions just because they mention This Guy and That Profession in different sentences.

Logic puzzles have a tendency to be written poorly, primarily to confuse people. In my logic book, I've taken it as a matter of fact that things written in the same clue are not necessarily related unless directly said so. A clue, for example might read:

Katrina (who didn't climb the 10-foot scratching post) placed immediately below the one who sang the Meow Mix theme, who placed immediately below the Himalayan cat.

One might infer that the cat who climbed the 10-foot scratching post would also not be the Himalayan cat, because they are in the same clue. In this puzzle, however, the Himalayan did end up climbing the scratching post. See? Deliberately misleading. Those bastards.

This is what I was starting to lean towards as well. Rutu could be the knight. Huron could be the explorer. Why not? Just ruling it out because it's in the same entry is making a big assumption :/

Because logic puzzles are deliberately misleading, I'm really thinking rutu didn't even go to shenkuu he just really wanted to..

That's what I said a few pages ago but I got answered "they wouldn't put that info to just mislead". Anyway, now I feel like every single sentence can mislead, so I don't see a point to keep trying to solve this puzzle for myself. Not interested in any prizes, my time is more valuable. Just give me my avatar and sidebar, then let me go to my way. Thank you TNT.

I've had Selvin Altador for 2 days! Pure guess.
