I've spent my fair share of time on 4chan, and I know how good it is when it's good. But I also know how bad it is when it's bad.

Hehehe~ /g/ and /jp/ aren't all thaaaat bad though (well no they're both horrible most of the time, but it's the fun kind of horrible if that makes sense!), you just need to know how the usual poster acts and either ignore those things or just not take them seriously ^^

I personally started off being a wrestling fan. WWF as it was called back in my day! (I know, sad) When I was 14/15 ish I joined a forum dedicated to WWF roleplay

Bet you're an Undertaker fan. Me, I'm an HBK fan for life. Sadly, my bf is a Bret Hart fan (ew, greasey. AND Canadian! *gasps in horror*) Haven't kept up with wrestling much, but I used to go to live events a ton when I was a kid. Young versions of me and my sisters are somewhere in the crowd at the 1994 Survivor Series.

    I
used the internet to research a lot of the freaky shit that piqued my interest and joined some fun sites for user perks and depth of content

Oh god. I have a feeling you've come across people who actually believe they are vampires.

Him and his guild were always trolling on the server broadcasts until I replied to his RL best buddy one day telling him he was pathetic and would never get laid.

I fucking love that. And that you're together now.

I owe so much to Codex, and it's community - especially those like Sweeney/prbm/Bone, who developed my hard skin, natural intellect and debating skills into what they are today.

I for one could not possibly take any credit for your hard skin. In fact, I prefer it if you keep your hard skin pointed at someone else. ;)

    Pokemon were real.
    Twilight was real.

Undertaker was pretty awesome, but to be honest, I was more of a Hardy Boys and Edge fan! Oh the time I spent gazing in to their eyes on the posters stuck to my bedroom wall as a 14 year old girl......

I haven't kept up with wrestling in ages, but my sisters other half loves it, so I might go and watch one of the next big live events with them and see if I can re-kindle my interest.

I first really delved into an internet community when my best friend showed me this site she loved called fanfiction.net. We spent a couple of hilarious hours reading good/lame/retarded/dirty LOTR and Stargate fics then she went home...and my obsession began.

I wrote a butt ton of fic I never posted but eventually I started writing a *cough*Snarry*cough* pure and wholesome! series in earnest and posting it in the Harry Potter section. Through PMs and communities I formed some really close attachments with other writers. I used to have loads of them in my contact list on MSN and they were a fun (if a bit mental) group of people.

One of them got me back into neo and I decided to get rich and collect avatars :D So I was searching google for a good packrat list and I found codex's and remembered thinking how sexy it was, what with the item on the right you could just click away and it would get you straight to a usershop.

I joined thinking it was a completely legit site, like TDN or jellyneo (lol I know, 'Neopets Fan Community and Cheats' should have been a heads up but I thought it might have been the legit games cheats) but was soon awakened as to its true, dark purpose (: And I've been here (corrupted) ever since ;)

It's kind of funny, Neopets was actually my first real "community" I suppose. I joined with my friends from school, and we were like... 11 haha. It's hard to believe I was even that young on the interwebs, so many things could have gone bad. Anyway, we got bored of it after a while, so I ended up taking a break for like...2 years or so? Then I came back, and for some reason I posted in the boards a ton, but I think I was RPing and got banned LOL. After that, I delved into games like Maplestory with my friends, and moved on to other games, fanfiction, anime, manga and all the rest of that ilk :p It's funny, cause I got nostalgic when I go see all of our first accounts since they're all still there, although obviously untouched for years.

I think I got here because I was fed up with being poor, and I knew cheats existed, so one day I said "fuck this" and cheated ever since.

my internet-life started in a german sims forum. i think i was like 12. i am still a member of that forum but i find it lame by now (because now there is tumblr...).
i found my way to codex after i got frozen on neo. they accused me of using cheating programms, which i did not even know about at that point. so i googled 'neopets cheating programms' and found codex. that was the beginning of a long, painfull lovestory.

Of course! Vampires, immortals, all-knowing deities in human form... Those were some fun times. I had so many superhuman friends :lol2:

I have fallen off the wrestling wagon in the past few years as well, but I used to be a huge fan. I never went to any live events (and I am not happy about that fact). I stopped keeping up with it around college time when I no longer had ready access to TV anymore (I think this was around the time that John Cena started coming around?). My all time favorite was, is and will always be Ric Flair. I just can't help but smile whenever I see or hear him. WHOOOOOOOOO!!! But I also love Bret Hart, Triple H, HBK, I was a big Sting fan when I was an angsty pre-teen...and Mankind! hahaha OMG I need to get back into wrestling.

LMFAO Mankind. Mister Socko was the grossest concept ever. I stopped watching wrestling when DX and Stone Cold were big. Wrestling was always supposed to be innocent fun to me, but with all the sex and drinking, it kind of turned me off. I think it's kind of headed back into that old, goofiness. I saw Cody Rhodes get whooped with a belt by the Big Show last Saturday and my grandpa could not stop laughing.

My bf and I always get into fights about the Hardy Boys because I liked Matt better than Jeff.

My first internet home was AIM which I started using 2005. Soon after that a friend introduced me to the world of RPG forums where I spent the next couple years. In 2008 I became more of an AIMer, really getting myself into the scene and getting to know the regulars and the "leets" and everything. It became my life and I spent every second I had on it. I've had over 20 SNs and owned several chats. I've been IM bombed and hacked and spammed and everything that could ever happen on AIM. It has to be my favorite internet past time. I still use it from time to time and I still talk to a majority of the people I met there, some even became IRL friends. Neopets came in somewhere a long time ago, I don't even remember. I didn't start really getting into it until a year ago. Now my internet life consists of FB, Tumblr, Neocodex, and various LGBT Community Forums while still occassionally checking in on the now dead AIM scene.

My internet roots started way back when Askjeeves.com existed and had forum boards. (ask.com has Q&A boards, but askjeeves had actual forums and threads for some reason.) I talked and talked and talked... and then it died. Some of the people I talked to on there kept in touch through instant messengers for a while. I floated aimlessly through random chat rooms for a couple years, then went through a couple-year phase where I didn't have internet or TV. I was on myyearbook for about 3 months, but I didn't like it very much. All the horny people. Then I didn't talk to anyone online for a year. I got decently active on gpxplus.net, but not anything major. I had just about decided that I wasn't going to talk to people on the internet anymore when I threw myself in Yung's path and got sucked in on here.
