It might sound strange but can you try installing MSN Messenger first and then see if it works? You can uninstall it again afterwards.

I don't think so, because I'm Yosh's cousin, and we are both italians, and it works for him, why not for me?

Maybe you have another version of program manager installed? Is this your first time installing it on that PC?

Try upgrading your .NET framework.

It includes some required files which we apparently don't, it's worked in the past for a couple of people.

Not sure. Maybe py2exe uses something from .NET? When I use py2app in Mac, it doesn't need anything from .NET.

I think the MSN Messenger installer probably includes something like C++ runtime files which we don't, I don't think it would have anything to do with .NET.
