You can now give out negative reputation on posts.

If you don't want to see posts which have a lot of negative reputation points, you can filter them out by using the settings at the top right of the topic:

We'll have to fix that point distribution though .

Note: this is just a trial run. If we find that people are abusing negative reputation, we'll disable it and everyone will have to go back to being nice all the time .

Hmm I don't know if this is going to go well. I just think that personal grudges could you know...get out of control Not that you couldn't tell where that was going on, just being wary

Indeed, but I ask people not to let that get in the way. Everyone says that the members of Neocodex can't handle negative reputation or aren't mature enough for it. I don't think that's true. Please prove me right .

Aww, well that's motivation to use it right in and of itself. Can't let you down Hydro

[Yung]

So far it's not going that way at all Hydro... we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

The solution is quite simple. Don't be ignorant.
There are only a few personal grudges going around, but the thing is, they are rightfully deserved. I try not to let personal feelings get in the way, but if there is someone I dislike, I probably dislike them because of their misinformed, bigoted or narrow-minded posts. And those sorts of posts deserve a minus rep.

I love this.

That's fair enough but I wonder if everyone will be as logical/fair about the rep system.

Of course not.
Is there a limit to the -rep like there is for +rep? Since I am retired, I get 15 of each, right?

I always thought your signature said 'AB Fag'.

Anyways, great feature, can't wait to abuse it.

I can imagine this becoming a problem very very quickly.

Trade rep and negative rep in the same day = best day ever

Where is everyone getting all of these gifs?
Ii want to post one of the Science Dude going "AMAZING!" perhaps with an exuberant and toothy smile.
Alas, my boring text will have to suffice.

How nice of you.

I tried google, all it spat out was disappointment and unfulfilled dreamings. When I searched Science Dude:

Am I doing it right?

[Junsu]

My rep is going to go down the drain now

I think we should get more +rep each day :<

I actually fell out of my chair.

We had a problem in the past with people that dont like others continually neg repping them for like the slightest of posts. Is this a trial period or is it here to stay?
