...what positive traits?

(I really felt that minus rep, Yung. It wounded me. So callous.)

So...$1000 eh?

Petrol! Jesus christ on a cracker who knew that petrol was so expensive? (well probably everyone who has a car which now includes me)

I don't even know how long it would last but I'm guessing not long :S

A new camera and a bit to fall back on. Would use it to bribe some people into giving me my beloved cat back, actually.

I don't understand how rent can be so cheap in your respective countries. D:

My parents own a few apartments aside from our own house and we rent them out at $3000 a month. :o

Where the fuck do you live? That is god damn cheap!

I share a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 room mates. We split everything 3 ways. It was best when my ex was living with us. We split everything 4 ways and rent was 250 a month. I need to get a new man.

Not much. I mean to fill a tank of gas is a small car from 2005 costs $50. Taxes of House, Electric, Water costs way more than $1000. Can't even support a family of two for a month.

~Half the mini-van I need.

The cost it's gonna cost us to get your car fixed since you just decided that swerving to save a squirrels life was worth running into a ditch with our girls in the car.

Update: A little under half the mini-van I got and I'm not getting the car fixed cause it was going to be way over what I think it's worth.

Enough for a month's rent, car insurance, internet, cell phone, and maybe a little fuel for my car.

Rent and utilities for a month, or half of what I owe my gf for the vehicle I bought. With a mill, I'd pay off my student loans, buy a duplex and rent the other half out; take what was leftover and begin a startup company. I have a mind for entrepnuership.

$1000, to me, means a fifth of my credit debt paid - a necessary step before I'm in a position to enroll for state uni next fall.

$1000 would be put into my bank, and saved up for a car C: As a student, its quite a lot to me, its about a 1/6th of what I earn a year xD

I could pay 2-3 months worth of my share of the rent, could pay off my credit card debt completely and still have plenty leftover, pay off my student loans, put some of it away in my IRA, spent maybe 50-100 of that on myself.

Hell even 100 is a lot to me.

So, daughter just won $2 for her artwork at the county fair, so $1000=500 Student art works.
