Usually I go and watch them around my house. We're kinda near a park that does it ^^

I'm performing in two parades and at a major league baseball game. Ugh.

Considering I work in retail, it's rare that I don't have to work on a holiday. Fortunately, I have the day off this year, so I'll probably day drink and watch the town fireworks at my old high school.
As far as I know, it's illegal to buy/sell fireworks in New Jersey, but people buy them out of state and set them off anyway.

I'm terrified of fireworks. Usually I try to give my daughter to someone else (because she loves them) and cower in the bedroom, but failing that, we watch videos of fireworks on youtube and eat hotdogs.
Are you a dog?

The two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive, as far as I know.
I'm just delicate.

I'm actually a little disappointed because I normally get paid on Wednesday, and this means I won't see the money until Thursday.

Yes! Favorite character in One Piece.
No plans thus far. My guy and I haven't talked yet about what to do. There are some decent fireworks shows here in San Diego, so we might just go to "our park," which is at the top of a hill overlooking the whole city, and watch 5+ shows at once.

Wow that sounds nice. My girlfriend lives in SD too and I tend to visit her often but we often run out of things to do. Care you share with me the name of that park? =) I know how you feel. I'm a broke college student as well and it sucks. I don't buy fireworks or anything that goes to waste in general anymore because of that.

Sure! It's the Kate O Sessions Park in Pacific Beach. Not too many people know about it, and there was an alcohol ban put in effect a couple of years ago (bunches of drunk teens were ruining everyone else's time), so the few who did know about it don't go there on the 4th anymore because they'd rather drink. We still bring alcohol, but we're discreet about it. It's not too crowded -- wasn't last year, anyway. Real easy to get to, too, and a good amount of parking.

Thanks a lot! It has a lot of good reviews on Yelp. Now I'll be surprising her the next time I visit.
