Our current frontpage, while better than what we had before (nothing, lol), is a bit unorganized, contains a lot of text to read, and doesn't really have any calls to action. I've been experimenting with a new frontpage layout. Could you guys check it out and tell me what you think?

http://www.neocodex.us/newindex.html

As you can see, it's mainly advertising Abrosia, but has links to our various other products. I haven't finished writing up those pages just yet, but I will do before this page goes live, hopefully.

I need a couple screenshots of Abrosia and perhaps some of the results that Abrosia brings. Could some of you guys produce a couple of screenshots that we could add at the bottom of that page?

    Looks wordpressy.

Is that a good or bad thing :lookaround:

Why is it all Abrosia info on the page though?

I feel it's best to focus on one product when introducing someone new to the community. This product happens to be the one that helps us make money so I suppose it's our most important product from that point of view. Users will inevitably find our other products through the top navigation. The idea is to just get them interested first.

You may want to consider rewording Undetectable, noobs are going to see that and think you mean that they can use whatever crazy settings they want because Abrosia is "Undetectable" then blame you for their accounts getting iced.

    Neither, just an observation. :p

Can we have something that alternates where the Abrosia part is (like an image slider or something)?

    It's awful...

We are -not- just a vehicle for Abrosia, Faraaz.

I was thinking of creating various pages like this for each of our products, and then randomly selecting one to show each new user. We can alternate between abrosia and the item database or something to start with.

It looks great, but it kinda isn't all that consistent with the rest of the site.. :c

Agreed. Maybe the background could be the same color it is for the forum? That nice, relaxing blue.

That's true, but it should be alright... we can get the consistency later :p. I just want a simpler design.

What do you suggest I change?

I actually like the layout itself.

I do think possibly the background needs to be a different color. Something more fitting with how the rest of the forum looks. (maybe that darkish blue color?)

Other than that, I think it's 100xs better than before.

Right but somehow it doesn't feel like it really "works" with Neocodex. I don't know really how to put it but you should maybe talk more about the community itself. e.g amount of active users, guides etc. Then also talk about the products. I don't think there should be many pages for everything, the homepage should include everything including descriptions of the different products.

Sorry this may not be all to clear. Also I agree that it looks to much like a wordpress blog.

Make it less like a clinical sales portal, and more like a community entrance page.
    Less Abrosia, more Codex.
Less sales pitch, more welcome message.

I agree with Sweeney, it's kind of selling ourselves short. :< Can you do something like a blue arrow button where the "Main Shop Autobuyer" and "Features" interchange... not really sure how to explain it, sorry. >< And then you can advertise the database/forums/etc under that.

I'll see what I can do :p. Unfortunately, people don't really respond to pithces about how they are about to enter the most amazing community ever. We tried that pitch for almost seven years and it didn't work.

What do you feel is so different than our current frontpage? Even on there, 90% of the page discusses our products rather than our community. This new frontpage is just moving things onto separate pages so that less can be on a single page.

I agree. I love the layout but looks like so many other sites. I think it needs to be more unique. I see website builders which give you the exact same results. Though I love the neutral colors and the Abrosia and all features unlocked and try it for free. Also the features.

The "All Features Unlocked: $5" is a bit misleading

I would look at that and think a one-time-only payment.

Agreed. I didn't want to have the two buttons on two separate lines, but I've changed it for now to remind myself that it is giving out the wrong message. I'll figure out the double lined buttons later.

Okay, I got the two buttons on the same line while also saying everything I wanted to say :p.

Great for selling a product, seems to hit all the key parts. However, being just a random joe, I would have no idea there was an actual community behind the website. Probably a better page for Google to direct to rather than just making it the site index.

The current frontpage definitely needs work and this one looks really clean and classy, but it seems a bit sterile. It doesn't communicate that Codex is a vibrant community with things to offer beyond our programs.

from a layout POV, it doesn't really match the rest of the website, the blues are too bright
