Greetings,

So, since there's no official UAB shipped with the program manager, I'm developing one in conjunction with my Python library to help give it some testing. However, as in the olden times, I like to come to the actual program user candidates first before I begin publishing anything. So, with that said, what would you desire in a UAB?

The current process I have in mind is thus:

  • Load a list of items from a plain text file, separated by new lines
  • Prior to sniping, the program will look up each item on the Neocodex Item DB and determine it's value
  • Then, it will use various methods to determine whether or not an item is worth buying. In example, the program will deduct x amount of np from the value and then only buy shop wizard results equal to or lower than the reduced value.
  • Program runs through the list searching for items that match the above criteria

In terms of features, this is what I have in mind so far:

  • If bought item is UB, send to SDB
  • Stock and automatically price bought items
  • Shop till watcher
  • Custom refresh and wait times
  • Automatic shop wizard banned waiting
  • Automatic completion of pesky Faerie quests (or just ignore/cancel them)

And, with all my applications, multiple user support within the application (no need to open multiple program instances). Any input, critiques, and general feedback is appreciated :)

Option of how to treat buyable items. I like to use a USAB to stockpile items for certain events and I wouldn't want them automatically sent to my shop and priced.

This sounds like you are letting the program determine if an item is worth purchasing. The ability to set custom profit margins and/or price thresholds would be ideal, for me.

I havn't been directly working on it. I'm developing an extensive Python library to help me and other interested developers develop automation programs. I've been indirectly working on it by building up the library :p I'm not going to start building the actual program and interface until I know exactly what I'm doing.

Sorry, I didn't expand very well on that. Essentially, there will be multiple methods available to determine whether or not to buy an item:

    * Profit margin is greater than x based on deducting x from the price
    * When ever item price is x less than value
    * When ever item price is x % less than value
    * Profit margin is x %

Etc. etc. I will probably post back here when I have written all planned methods for some final input. Also, item management will be optional.

The option to buy multiples or just one of each item. For example, I load a list of stamps I wish to purchase one each of, which the program goes through said list and buys one of every item on it. Another example for multiple items would be codestones etc in which you load a list and set an amount of each item to buy. Hope that makes some sense....

Awesome, I'll make sure to throw in support for that. Just to clarify, are you saying it goes through and just buys one of each item and quits, or only buys one at a time?

While I'm sure many would find it pointless, (and might not even be possible to integrate) I would love to have some sort of Super Shop Wizard function :p

Would be nice to search my list of items I usually snipe so I don't have to spend so much time copying/pasting item names or typing them out constantly....

I'm not really into the MAB's, I occasionally use them. But I like the auto faerie completion thing. So yea that would be a nice thing in it

    Sounds great actually~

Maybe add the option to spend only a certain amount of NP on an item?
Like..make it buy 10,000 NPs worth of One Dubloon Coins instead of setting it to buy 10 One Dubloon coins?
    Just a thought xD

yeah one of each item, then stops once its been through the specific list. Also, the full inventory support is a great idea as well as the maximum price to spend on each item and possible Super Shop Wiz support too (the latter would be EPIC)

    Alright, noted.

However, I'm going to need help with super shop wiz. I don't have the money with a wife and kid to shell over for premium :p So, someone with access to the super shop wiz needs to do the following:

    * Load the super shop wiz page
    * Save the page to a file
    * Search for an item
    * Save the results page to a file
    * Paste the contents of both files to pastebin and PM it to me

This is all I need to develop that feature.

I wouldn't mind helping with the SSW.

Only issue is, it doesn't have it's own page anymore. It's on the notification bar.
I'm assuming it would still be the same, so I can PM you that information now.

They've changed it now to where SSW is permanently docked in a bar at the bottom of every page. I'll go through this process and send the results to you though.

Edit: nvm, Gorix beat me to it :p

I also think a great feature (although it might need to be a separate program?) that would include the SSW would be the ability to force it to use the price only option and search Paint Brushes (or anything else that the SSW can't search normally)
and if it finds that there is one priced (because it should show 1 result priced at blah blah or whatever it says) jump to the regular SW and search til it finds the item.

    Does that make sense? :p

No, but I think that's because I've never used the SSW before lol

I'd like a feature making it possible to do a wildcard search, like * Negg or * Codestone :)

Well, since the Shop Wizard doesn't support wildcards, the closest you'd be able to get is doing a search containing those words.

You could pull a list from the IDB using the wildcard term, and then search through those items.

If it's going to be open source he probably wouldn't be able to use the API.

No, it's not. And if it does goes open source, obviously the API key would not be included :p (Yes, I have an API key, so I will be using the API)

Anyways, thanks for the tip Joe. Didn't know the API had that functionality.

I'm not actually sure if the API supports wildcards (I'd probably lean towards no), you'd probably have to ask Pyro about that.

Maybe I wasn't very clear. The SSW does what I meant itself without needing to pull anything from the DB.

If you leave the setting on "containing" and type in JUST morphing potion, it'll look for a random potion each search (most of the good snipes are 99k UBs, but sometimes you can find a buyable for 20K or so under wiz). That might end up being inefficient and looking for one potion twice in a run, but I don't think those odds are very high.

This is less useful for the regular SW.
