Manual lists are mainly beneficial for non-Advanced members (as they let them select the shop they want to buy in rather than being put in random shops), most Advanced member just use the database lists I believe.

The program will only buy the items on the list.
If you set it to a profit mode, it'll buy anything that will make at least that much of a profit.

As an Advanced Member you also get access to the Restock List generator section in the Item Database if you decide that you want to try creating your own lists to use:

That looks like a fun play, probably will come in useful at some point also. Thanks for pointing that out also.
