Hi everyone, I just joined the site. I've been playing neo on and off since I was 12. I feel so naive but I never knew anything like this exsisted until a few months ago (I thought everyone made there fortunes from restocking and KQ) and then promptly forgot about it as I began another leave of absense from neopets. But now that I'm back (and already a bit bored) I'm thinking this will add some spice back into my game. I'm just nervous my account will get frozen as I'm quite attached to it. I think I'll probably buy advanced membership eventually. Not sure what else to add so I'll eave it there :-)

Thanks, I think I'm all a-ok right now. I've been reading through a bunch of guides for the last hour or so and everything seems clear enough so far. What are the best parts of the forum to meet people in? It seems like the site has a "strong culture" (sounds so lame)

Haha! That doesn't sound lame at all.
Personally I like General Chat/Debate, and Chit-chat in regards to meeting people.
Another good way to get to know people is in the community tab if you click 'Chat' it takes you to IRC.
OR an alternative that I use (a lot more than I care to admit)
is tinychat.com/neocodex. It can get pretty crazy in there though XD

It definitely spices neopets up, well for me it did anyway. With the extra nps from abrosia I can jazz up my little pixellated babies, and also make my account look more impressive. Also the AoB stuff makes playing the games and getting avatars far less tedious.
