I don''t know about all of you, but I LOVE runescape. Back before the HELL of rs2, I played runescape classic daily, and it was the best online experience IMO! Theres actually a "Private server"of rsce out.. its been up since 2009... and you can still get that same runescape experience if you yearn for it haha. it's called rscemulation. and the link is http://www.rscemulation.net/ If i'm not allowed to advertise other sites lemme know and I'll take the link down.!

THis website has nothing to do with JAGEX. You create a totally new char and start from scratch with faster xp etc... 99 99 99 doesn't take years anymore.

omg i loved runescape too, but i got hacked and lost like 30m+ and so sad because now i have no nice armour or anything sobss :(

I used to play Runescape, was a member for about a month or so (like paying member not a regular member). I just liked being able to steal from everything, I would just sit there and steal cakes from one of the food things in this one city if my HP was low. When they introduced the grand exchange I just sold addy ore and made millions. I can still remember my username and password though.

I think I have a couple items... If I could figure out the new fangled loading screen. I hit "auto-set up' for graphics and it dies on me.

Well Party Hats are worth like at least 600 other.

Argh..I'm on a mac. Nothing works on mac. I might be able to run it though something like wine, but that require a wine download. (I'm tired of downloading things)I'd use my windows, but the stupid thing doesn't like my wi-fi router and wont connect. The only "working" bot I found won't let you type anything or click anything until you drag the screen. (it's only an issue with macs).

Ahh good old RSC. 

Man I remember playing it and when 20+people could mine the same rock and each get an ore. No sleeping bags or fatigue. Could fight with ranged&magic or melee&magic at the same time. Drop parties were a common occurrence and groups of 40+ people would just sit and chat and pick up expensive items

Hitting 8+ damage meant you were badass, and having a full set of rune meant you were filthy rich.

Oh and to see those players who could actually MINE and SMITH the rune... WOW!

But alas, it all went to hell with RS2.... but then I got used to that... then they added construction and a bunch of garbage and I lost my connection.

But I will always remember playing through the RSC tutorial, and thinking "i'm going to mine rune one day!"

 

Well, I did - I got to ~60mining before RS2, and got to 83 mining before quitting the game... then last year I went back and did a bunch of mining just to get a screenie of myself mining in the "wildy" Rune mine....

Good times, I'm going to sign up for the emulation.
