Well, to be honest, I'm new to neopets (been 10+ years since last visit, so feel new anyways) and just wondering what types of things you guys suggest doing to make the account look legit.  Being that I'm newish again, I don't even know what all I could do, much less what I should do, lol.  I am going to start making some shell accounts though.  Get them a bit while I'm at it, or is there somewhere legit to buy pre-aged accounts and not be scammed?

We actually have a Price Check thread that you can ask in, but I'll answer here for you. It's about 800k in NPs, you might get one for 1m.

Edit; I'm assuming AAA shell; if you just want a 4 month account it's about 300k.

For a good one? Depends on the age of the account and stuff on it...maybe about 100 "other" if you want an ok account...some people look for 1000 "other" for a little over decent account...which is insane.

Wow. That's some profitable business there, if anyone would actually be willing to shell out the 'other' for that. I can't see the reasoning behind spending a grand of "other".

I never said anyone would buy the account for 1000 "other"...the people selling it for that much are a little over their head.

Just wanted to know an approximate price since I'd be having to wait a week to even see... and if it ended up being a lot, I'd be wasting a week of time I could be aging new accounts that I'd have to do anyways.  Thanks for all the help though ^^

AAA stands for Almost Abandoned Attic. It's a loyalty perk that's there for accounts that are 3+ years old.

 

What so good about the AAA? Well, the AAA sells high rarity items (r80-99 I think) for their est.value price, which is a lot cheaper than they go for. 

 

For example, a lot of morphing potions stock at the AAA for less than 100K. These morphing potions, you can sell for millions on the TP, depending on the morphing potion.

 

As you can see, a lot of profit can be made if you're fast enough to get a good item at the Attic. But your account has to be at least 3 years old.

If you don't, you'll miss everything. Everything good that is.

It's safe to buy here on Codex. I just got one past week, and I haven't had issues with it yet.

There's actually a reputation feature with past user feedback that you can check by going onto any users profile. Just go to their profile, and click on the User Feedback link on the blue sidebar.

100k is actually enough, but for good stuff you should go a few hundred k.

Alright thanks, Just like to plan things out.  Helps for succeeding.    I always draw up figures to figure out cost, potential low and potential median values for things.

If you manage to do a cost/benefit analysis the data would be pretty valuable. I tried doing a cost/benefit analysis before but I gave up halfway.
