I saw a topic on freezing and I really don't mean to spam if these questions have already been answered at some point.

I don't plan on using an autobuyer or any of that, just a few things to make the tedious parts of neopets less irritating. Can neopets tell if you have an autorefresher if it only goes every 30 seconds (recommended time to not get restock banned)? Have people gotten frozen for using the Pyramids game bot? How do these programs avoid getting caught?

It'd be nice to get a feel for how things work. I hope these questions aren't too played out and I'm super sorry if they are.

Playing Neopets can get you frozen.

    Believe me, I know.

Using any cheat program can get you iced, that's the risk of using them.

But is it through suspicious activity or actual detection of bots?

^ this, but also, a bit of common sense goes a long way with the programs. Play it safe and don't send ridiculous scores/refresh too much/leave running for 9000 hours etc. Most of the time you will find if you're conservative, you'll be fine.

Neo can't tell if you're using a program or autorefresher.

    No they haven't.

They mimic human players. So reasonable times for a move in pyramids would be 2s-5s, they'll only make a move during those time periods.

That's the same for all the bots. No one sits at a shop refreshing for 10 hours so the ABer can be scheduled to take a break in between. Likewise, score-senders have a wait function to mimic you actually playing the game. A pyramid's autoplayer would do the same.

Of all the people who have been iced due to using a program, 90% would have made a mistake somewhere along the line (the other 10% were just unlucky :/)

I'll just add that if you only refresh every 30 seconds, you are unlikely to get anything good. Better have lower refresh times (5-10 seconds) and risk the restock ban than have higher refresh times but get nothing.
