Any idea as to what it could be?

Anyone capable of helping will need an error of some sort.

There is no error, it was happening for a good thirty minutes everytime it was attempting to download the neocodex database... but now it is working properly.

Glad it was not just me, I felt like a jack ass forgetting my password than posting this shit.

Do you have a Macbook or iMac? I have both and it seems to give me problems from time to time on both now.. hopefully just that one time on the desktop though. I'm curious if it's just me!

I've run Abrosia on both iMac and Macbook. I have had more troubles and crashing on mac than I did on Windows.

Do you have an anti-virus? Try disabling that. Close out of everything besides the manager to see if its one of those things that's causing it. I'm not sure what could be causing it, but this is really all I could think of at the moment.

Is it crashing after you log in with your neocodex account? Or is it doing that when you try to run a program? (You said it happens when it tries to connect to the database and I can't remember where that happens, the login screen or in Abrosia, as Abrosia also connects to the database. If its crashing after starting a program, if you're using a proxy disable for a second to see if that helps, as it could be a bad proxy).

EDIT: nevermind, it's crashing for me when it tries to get updates.

2nd EDIT: It only did it twice and now it's working again. I'm confused. Well, try what I posted before and see if that fixes it.

Is your mac going into sleep mode? Putting a computer in sleep mode stops Abrosia from doing stuff, which is why it's stopping at a certain point (whatever point it was at when the computer went into sleep mode, is where it's going to stop.)

Mine stops like that when my computer goes into sleep.
