My primary screen tells me when it's started, tells me when it's stopped and will tell me if I get a random event.

But I've bought (I assume as these things show up in my inventory) a couple of items over the last two days or so... (3?  And that was set at a 1k profit margin so I'm still not sure what's wrong there...) but it doesn't show me how much I spent on the item...  help?

 

Add to that I just priced the Gherkin Hot Dog and it priced for 300 which is way under even a 1k profit line.  Does that even stock in Fresh Foods?

And I bought a couple of books last night and still no indication of for how much.  Hard to set prices without that information... or at least hard to know whether I'm making a profit.

On Abrosia when you buy something do you see:

"bought XXX for XXX NP in XXXms (profit: XXX)"?

It seems like you're not seeing that, but without it the only other way to see if you'd bought something would be though having Abrosia set up to make a noise when you buy an item. (that's in the settings). 

 

Do you have a neotracker profile? If not, you can make one here: http://www.neocodex....?app=neotracker

and then have Abrosia log purchases under the neotracker profile you made.

(this is also in the settings, in the same place where the "make sound when item is bought" is. I can't remember where it is exactly but it's either under "item management" or something else. I know it's not under the Igloo/Attic part nor the "general settings" where you set your settings for things like OCR/pre-haggle, and it's not under "shop settings" or whatever it's called where you set things like minimum profit.)

 

Having Abrosia track purchases and sales under a neotracker profile will show you how much you paid/how fast your bought it/ and the profit for items that you have bought. However, the neotracker seems to be having some issues for some people with it not tracking sales and buys, but my neotracker profile works fine.

Nope it isn't showing that I bought anything at all

Litterly all I get is Abrosia Started, Abrosia Stopped and occasionally Congratulations you found a codestone!

Any idea what might be causing this not to show and how to fix it?

Are you seeing misses? It'll be the same thing as the buy but in red and without the "bought XXX for XXXNP in XXXms." It'll just say "Missed XXX sold out/haggle rejected/unknown error (profit: XXX)"

If you don't see misses either, uninstall and reinstall the manager. Then go and run it with the settings on default, to see if you messed with a setting that messed it up somehow, and then change them to what you had before.
Abrosia doesn't buy things under the profit margin, however the prices in the item database are not the lowest an item will sell for, so that might be why one of your items is only worth 300np on the SW.

Abrosia also may not be logging some RE's. If you have premium the space faerie RE's sometimes pop up and give you items, but Abrosia doesn't log those, so the items may be coming from there. (It may also be missing regular RE's for some reason).

Try using the neotracker, as that logs buys, so you'll be able to see the items you're buying.


With a profit margin at 1k you are going to lose on some buys. The prices in the item database are not the lowest price for something, which is why you can lose out. (So Abrosia may buy something with a profit of 1.2k but the lowest that item sells for is 500k.)

Are you sure that the things that show up in your inventory are not from REs, dailies, Mystery Pic prizes, etc?

 

If you are seeing random junk appear in your inventory worth 300np, then they are probably not from Abrosia unless you set your minimum profit very low.

From the sound of it, unless you've been missing many buys, the system might be bugged. How about re-downloading it again? 

 

When you purchase something, the amount you paid for should be stated, like what the rest of them said. Maybe your account was too early (e.g). It would help if yu supplied us with more details (your account age, aber details)

Do you have the box checked where it says "Profit must be 150% of the item price"?  If so, try it without that checked and see if that helps.
