Does it break the Neopets terms of use if you were to edit the html in your user lookup to just display icons of trophies even if you havent earned them?

They've previously said in editorials that you can't change your account age shield to another age so I'd guess they'll probably think the same way about trophies you haven't earned too. :/

i'm not sure. i've seen people did it (doesn't play any games but have loads of flash game trophies). but i can see how it's a reportable offense since some people assess people's account via their trophies when lending out avatar items, sending private guild invitations and whatnot.

    It is against the rules.

You cannot misrepresent the default / official info - see here.

Buuuuut that's a rather old one, and a quick search hasn't actually turned up anything useful. More recently, I think I've seen people getting away with hiding sections like Habitarium. I'd stay safe and not fake trophies, though.

Unless you need a trophy of some retired game or past plot (or, currently, Defenders of Neopia), you can... scoresend or AoB your way to a trophy pretty easily.

edit: another page for you to take a look at. So Habitarium is, by rules, hideable! The main rules summary on that page suggest that you cannot falsify information.

Unless you are doing it to scam someone, I don't see why TNT would freeze you for it. At most they will clear your profile and give you a warning.

It's not worth the risk... getting iced over something so stupid would really be a bummer

Off the top of my head, it's more of like... you can't make your account seem older/younger than it really is but if you change your shield to something obviously false (eg: 1 million years) that's okay.

Weeks ago, while searching for some games to play, I end up finding one user who's account was made last july but it had the trophy from Faerie Ruins.

After log in in one of my shells, making all that innocent speech lol, I sent a question to Editorial asking if it was still possible to win that trophy because I wanted *so much omg* (sending the username of that player too :p) or if it was some "HTML/CSS" trick and if that's not against the rules. My question didn't make into Editorial but that guy was frozen shortly after my question was sent. Dunno if it was because of that but... I wouldn't risk it lol

Yeah, that's freezable. You can see it clearly on the edit userlookup page. It's a tiny thing to risk your account over, so leave it be.

What about the opposite? Can you hide trophies that you've won?

I wouldn't risk changing anything like that, it's not really worth it.

I kind of see where (s)he's coming from though. It's quite annoying when legit players kiss up to you because you seem "achieved" (and they want free items).

Also, is the whole "i have loads of expensive items in 1np auctions nf-only" thing still allowed? I haven't seen it of late.
