I want to buy another. I am going to wait until this pet caches, and if I were to buy the new pet I'd have to wait months before having it connected to me I'm sure. I'm just concerned because I know some people from the boards (PC especially) will recognize me and they know what UCs I'm after and that I don't own any. Advice?

Try using a shell? I don't see anything wrong with wanting a UC if I don't have one through, unless you mean you enquiring in this forum will spill over into the nbs

No, I'm not worried about this forum since I'm not posting the name/etc I just am worried about people getting suspicious of me suddenly having two UCs. I'm sooo tired of having to fail at applications and waiting for pets to come around to adopt.

Be patient and take plenty of time to get whatever pets you want all in your main (if that is what you are hoping to achieve). Don't be so gabby on the boards, trust me, Neo is WAY more fun if you cut that little complication down to a minimum (or better, cut it out entirely)...and you will be fine. If you aren't known to have (or have owned in the past) any UCs at all though, I would definitely recommend a 3-4 month buffer before another one "appears" on your account (cache or not). If anyone bugs you about it via Neomail? They can eff the hell off, you owe no explanation.

(Side note: I was totally NOT intending to sound mean with this post...I realize it sounds a little rough in re-reading it now, but my intent in posting the above was for purely helpful purposes.)

You could say you adopted it legitly if anyone asks. I do recommend the 3-4 month buffer between the 2 as well though.

have anyone been frozen for adopting (buying) many UCs in newbie accounts? i've seen so many accounts like that i never suspect anything since they could just adopt them. :S

I'd imaging people would start asking questions if your account was really noob and you don't have anything saying "adopted from so and so" or what not...people sometimes even show off their petpage app when they get the pet and all that jazz.

btw Stuck, your icon really disturbs me. I have this thing against toes bending at awkward angles XD

Shuggie do you have NFs that would bother you about the UCs or anything like that?

I am worried about the few semi-active to active NFs that I have if I ever bought an UC.  Is it better if we just don't have any NFs if we want to buy UCs? lol

NF and boards: the two things that causes most freezings.

Stay away from them like the demon from holy water.

The best thing you can do is WAIT. Don't be too greedy, that's the kind of thing that gets you frozen. Be patient.

Sorry guys haven't checked back since I've been studying, eh. My account isn't completely noobish. it's 10 years old. Not the best avatar or trophy count I could have, though. I feel like my neofriends would be more concerned about a second  UC. I was considering buying an account that already has a BD pet and a draik on it, then adding the second UC to it and eventually advertising once or twice that "I'm quitting" and trying to rehome them in a few months and have some guidelines. I reaaaaally don't want to spend that much money, though.

I've read that, too. Just looking for more "active" advice I suppose. I only talk to two NFs.. and I really like them :/ One has three UCs and said one was gifted by someone who saw a board of hers saying she wanted that particular pet.

Your approach sounds quite workable...but don't go with the "I'm quitting" thing for the purchased account, rather think about just not giving any specific reason, or if you do, of "changing focus"? With an account the age of yours, it should be totally doable, but don't have the purchased account go into an "I'm quitting" type of thing, and you don't even have to have it as an up-for-grabs thing with apps through boards: rather you can establish some sort of relationship via Neomail and conduct a trade without any board involvement...it's no one's business how you managed to make the trade, and it need not be public. Avoiding the boards as much as possible is VERY preferred.
