I was just thinking if you are a premium member at neopets, utilizing the super shop wizard could make prices much more accurate increasing sales. I'm assuming you use a scripting program such as autohotkey since it interacts with the browser. On the other hand this could increase freeze rates and deflate the market. I was just throwing the idea out there, if you think this is a good idea let me know. I'm not that experienced with autohotkey, but I am familiar with c++, visual basic programming languages which probably won't be of much use for something like this. Anyhow thanks, I would appreciate some input.

I don't have premium, but this would probably help Premies, and I thought of it myself a while ago (didn't pursue, as I don't have the SSW). Is there a SSW sniper program somewhere?

Nooo it wouldn't be worth it to make one with how fast you get SSW banned, that's what I'm saying

Have you ever used SSW? It's not a difficult task to get banned from searching.... sometimes it only takes a few searches... So, at best you could price ~10 items before it's tapped out...

 

My items sell just fine with the multiple normal SW searches. I am not saying this wouldn't be convenient, I am saying it's probably not worth the effort to implement.... effort>yield kinda thing.

I've probably had the SSW arguably longer than almost anyone else here as I signed up for Neopets Premium when the feature was first offered and have been one of the oldest recognized Charter members in the game. Don't be insulting.

For the OT (because I'm not sure what post were referring with talking about auto-pricing and a sniper. Maybe 2 posts?):

 

I'm pretty sure this is about auto-pricing because the OP talks about making prices more accurate. When prices are more accurate, people can be enticed to buy your items because they're on par with the other prices. So if the price for something was 10.5k, and using the SW put it at 15.5k, people wouldn't buy it. 

 

If the SSW for advanced was implemented, as Abrosia runs the SW in the background to return prices for items to the DB, the prices would be more accurate because the SSW is lowest price. (or something like that. It might just mean to make a single persons prices more accurate, by using that persons SSW)

When you have the lowest price, people buy your items more. 

 

For a Sniper program: I suppose it could be useful, but the SSW can get tired out easily. It doesn't take a just a few searches, but the SSW can't handle as many searches as the regular SW. (I had premium, and I did notice I could do more searches with the SW before it got tired out. It did take more than a few however.)

If one was made, maybe it could snipe towards the end of the hour? As SSW bans only last until the next hour, so if you get banned at 11:50 you'll be unbanned in 10minutes. If you get banned at 12 you'll be banned till 1. If it searches at the end, you can do more searches faster, because you won't have to wait as long to get unbanned.

I am familiar with how the bans work christ! It was a matter of opinion people, everyone just caaaaalm it down... all I am saying is (AND I DON'T KNOW!) that the fruits of the labor making something like that wouldn't be so sweet... so it's like the crumbled up chips at the very bottom of the bag... Yeah, they are good... but no one REALLY wants them.

Woah, wasn't insulting anyone with that post. It was only an idea for if someone where to make a wiz sniper, that wasn't directed at anyone. Just a helpful idea if someone were to make one. You didn't  need to take it as I said "you don't know what bans are".

Well, you only need to search once with the SSW, it searches all groups. So it is really good for pricing, but the bans come on quickly... So, it will do an excellent job pricing items!!!!...... the few that it will be able to price

 

That's pretty much the debate that's somehow unfolded here lol if it is worth it or not. It would be nice, but I don't think anyone will want to make it.

Hmm, it seemed like a good idea, I haven't had a premium account in awhile so I forgot about the SSW and how its freeze rate is quite quick. Oh well.

You don't get your account frozen, you just get a shop wiz ban he gets "exhausted" and you can't search anymore

 

It's not a bad suggestion, just not a thing many people would want to spend the time making

Not to mention most people don't pay for premium anyway
