Personally I:

-AB a few hours at a time

-AB at the same time every day

-Try to keep my buy times >1500ms

-Stick with high risk, but high return shops

I use to only buy in magic for 8 hours a day with stupid low settings on multiple accounts at once, and that *obviously* ended badly every time. Hopefully this time round' things will last much longer.

What are your autobuying habits?

I AB at Stamps when I feel frisky. When I do, I use my collected data of potential restock times to pinpoint when I want to turn my ABer on. With fast internet, good ping, and infinitesimally small settings, I leave my ABer on for only the first 10-20 seconds in my records. It only worked for me twice in the past with getting a Queen Fyora stamp and one of the misprint stamps out of the dozens of times I tried along with random stamps along the way. The account that I used to AB with with this method got frozen because I was not the original owner =/ and not because of ABing. I haven't tried this method since like April, but it's pretty nifty if you have the patience for it.

For casual everyday ABing, I just use the Scheduler with 3 hours duration, every other day, 1600ms average. Yu don't really need to do much for Books.

I keep mine at 2-4 shops for the long haul (>10 hours). My buy times are > 1500 ms and I get a few ubs each day but they take forever to sell. Been doing it for 2 months now and no freeze so far.

I'm actually a bit surprised how many 1m+ items I got so far without advanced.

Yea, you don't need advanced to succeed :p.

@Faintingcow : nice. Maybe I need to ease up and take a little more risk :p

When using ABing, proxies slow it down alot? Like to where you won't ever get anything? It's free proxy, not paid. I've been told paid proxies are more promising. Can i AB on two accounts from the same ip without bad results?

From what I've read, yes you can. If you want to reduce risk, stay away from Magic. More than 2 you should probably proxy. Also, since you're advanced, change around the haggle times and whatnot to make up for the delay in the proxy if it's a free one that's not up to par with your normal speed. If it's elite, there shouldn't be too much to worry about.

Stamp is about as risky as magic imo.

Also, I tried abing at school and interestingly enough, with an internet speed 10x my wireless at home, I'm getting buy times anywhere between 1900 ms - 4500 ms. Any reason for this? I never use proxies on abrosia.

Oh which proxy are you using @krigz, my buy times are random because I don't live in the us, even with everything set at 0.1.

Other than that, I'm also following Scot's guide :p

Those erratic behaviors are beyond me. For the proxy providing you with better buy times though, it could be because you ping to a closer server and the speed gained over speed sacrificed is more. All just speculation, I've never educated myself properly on the topic.

Yeah, seems to be a common trend among various people from Codex. I'm highly considering purchasing one myself, despite the fact I'll probably only seldom use it.

Only ever AB'd on one account. Which I also mix in with legit restocking. Never been banned. Almost always do the high risk shops. Still going strong after years of legit/abing.

That's awesome, do you have any tips you'd be willing to share? Lately I've been trying to learn as much as possible about the do's and don'ts on a professional level of AB'ing to save myself from getting frozen ever again :/
