From work I got a new set of scrubs, a gaudy necklace that I will never wear, a Scentsy warmer and tart, and season three of Scrubs on DVD (of which I have never seen the first two seasons so I don't really understand why I got it).
My family doesn't do gifts for adults anymore, only the grandchildren, so from my parents I got a tin of homemade holiday Chex mix stuff that we make every year. It's spicy and delicious.

In addition to my previous post, I've gotten a few more presents: My parents decided to pay me back for my plane ticket, a box of peppermint chocolates, $60 in cash, a $75 amazon giftcard, Green Bay Packer pajama pants, seeing my nephew for the first time and my first time EVER holding a baby, let alone feeding one...I almost fainted at the amount of pressure from this event. Oh and the satisfaction of my family opening the gifts I bought them -however my mom wasn't too pleased with the $200 worth of presents I bought her...

Add on gift of $300 to my bank account from my dad to pay my car insurance. Sweet!
How much is your bill a month?
Also - my mom told me that she's going to keep the TV from my old room (40" TV) and buy me a new one so I don't have to spend $250+ to send it down to my house. I'll take this opportunity to capitalize on their $400 and buy a bigger TV for my really tiny room >=]

Napiform, make sure you put your feeder up very high. This morning we had a special mix for the woodpeckers (pileated, downey, red headed) and the doe came into the yard stood on her back feet and ate the peanuts out of the feeder. Daddy spent the morning working and failing and then fixing a pulley so he can fill the feeder and then hoist it high away from the deer. Until the deer learn how to climb trees.
What are you feeding the suet?

We aren't feeding anything specific, just supplementing cause I worry about the birds in the winter. It's plain suet. We have a woodpecker, some carolina chickadees, sparrows, cardinals, and ugly black birds.Napiform, make sure you put your feeder up very high. We live far from town but there are still plenty of deer. We are smoking one now that Mom hit with the her car. The made me look after the fire today and I am all chugged up.
I like the blue jays as they are such bullies. The giant woodpecker, the pileated, is such a treat when he comes to eat. He is bigger than the feeder.

One of those super expensive matresses from the parents. It's like sleeping on a cloud. The only downfall is that every morning I weigh the choice of quitting my job and staying in bed all day because it's so comfy. Then I remember having a girlfriend is expensive and get out of bed.

I was totally spoiled this year, as usual. I got a Nikon D5100 from my aunt as a combination birthday/Christmas present! I've had a camera on my wishlist for a while, but I didn't think I'd be getting one this year, so I did not prepare. I have no clue how to use the thing, but I am taking a photography course next semester. I'll need to get myself some basic accessories like a bag and tripod, and I'm open to advice from more experienced photographers on the forum.
My mom got me some clothes (lots of cat themed garments), a tin of 72 Prismacolor pencils, a set of vintage mushroom glasses from Etsy, new sketchbook, Sigma makeup brushes, jewelry/hair accessories, socks, tights, mustard colored crossbody bag, travel mug with removable tea diffuser, and typical stocking stuffers. She got me more clothes/accessories for my birthday, is paying for me to get my hair cut, a new stylus for my Bamboo tablet and I forget what else.
My dad gave me $100 cash for my birthday, and $200 in Modcloth, Blick, Amazon, and Jerry's art supply gift cards, in addition to candy and some re-purposed metal owls that were left in his house by the previous owner. He made me a little owl trivet and a wine bottle stopper.
From Matt, I got a lime green single-serve blender, Neocash, Minecraft t-shirt with a kitty with a creeper in its mouth, Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, an adapter for my headset since my laptop only has a headphone jack, and a bottle of Hazelnut Kahlua. He also got me Animal Crossing New Leaf and a Modcloth gift card for my birthday.
My birthday is so close to Christmas that the holidays/gifts kind of blend together, so I'm probably forgetting something important, but I'm grateful for everything.

I finally got pictures of my gifts. I'm really happy this year, my favorite gift being a netflix subscription so I can watch all the Breaking Bad I want.

If I had a red neck neighbour with a gun, I'd probably do fuck all.
All my neighbours are rednecks with guns...
