This is a pretty cool tool. Especially for someone maybe looking for a specific pet species/color!

Well there are other reasons they won't fix the Habi
What reasons are those?

I've changed it so that it should only show pets currently in the pound. It processes the queue every five minutes, so there is that initial discrepancy where it could show pets that have been very recently adopted still (which means if its not available but still shown, you've just missed it). It checks pets that have been in the pound longer more infrequently (with a maximum time of up to 24 hours per check if a neopet just isn't being adopted). However, it may take a few hours for the queueing algorithm to start to take proper effect (meaning until then, it mightn't be too accurate).
Let me know if there are any additional feature requests.

Well, one prominent reason is that the company that made the Habitarium is now gone.
Why would that prevent a team from modifying it?

I'm taking a guess that it would be too hard to change the code without breaking the game. It's hard to edit someone else's work
And TNT is notoriously lazy so the chances of them surfing through someone else's code is minimal.
So you're saying that it all comes down to laziness after all? Which is exactly what the original post was implying?
Great.

There should be a picture of you inside a heart shape at the top of the page.

Is that in reference to the picture I posted on this site in the past? I was young, naive and in love with myself.
On topic, I just quickly pushed an update up today. I updated the means of checking whether a pet is still in the pound or not (was erroneously marking some pets as being adopted when they weren't), added a historical database to view all pets run through the pound, added a statistics page (though when I pushed the update up to production, the graphs got WAY too cluttered, but I cbf doing anything about that atm) and added a how it works page.

Love what you've done there ^_^d especially your how it works page although you don't go into details xp But from your explanation I take it you haven't found parameters to systematically go through all pounded pets.
Still amazing work!

I added the fields to the table display. I suppose I could make them sortable or whatnot, but that might make things a tad cluttered.
I also added a small modal dialog to the historical db pet link which shows basic information on the pet. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

any way you can make it so when you refresh it saves your current search settings with manually typing the search query into the address bar or better yet add an auto refresh into the page

Wow, great work!
I think I'll find this very handy while trying to catch some of the more common avatar pets.

Is this a common bug?

yes its a bug on neopets side of thing
also the database should go threw and check all of the pets at least every 6 hours there are some that appear to be getting stuck in there

It checks a lot more frequently/intelligently than that.
I have noticed that some pets get stuck in when they're in transfer or something. If you point a specific pet out to me that's stuck I can look in to it.

Really nice tool!
Can Neo track HTTP referrer if you click on the view profile link on the pet page? (I didn't click it, just wondering)

If it's a direct link then, yes.

Is it a direct link? @artificial
It's not the server that sends the http referer, it's your browser. Servers have no control over what your browser sends. You sometimes see anonymizer services which only means that (in this case) Neopets will just see the anonymizer as referer and not the original site where the link came from.

Eefi and I had a good chat about this the other day. http://www.anonym.to is a good service and IIRC we used to have a mod on the forum that would mask every link through this service.
