I keep trying to buy battle items for my dragons but NO ARCANE STUFF IS EVER IN STOCK WHEN I CHECK.

Go to Auction House

Select the battle tab

Select your Price Range (enter something in the Gold Coin part unless you want to use Gems)

Select your Category (Arcane)

 

Then in the top left change the tab from Expiration to Price to sort from lowest to highest.  The lower end battle runes are cheaper here then they are in the main marketplace (some which are 5000 treasure in the market place you can pick up for less than 2500 in the Auction House)

 

You don't need to bid on Auctions either.  You just buy it and you'll receive it as an attachment in your mail.

Not all items are cheaper (I have purchased 1 or 2 items from the marketplace and put them on the Auction for a 1500 profit or so but they are only slow building profits)... And you have the advantage of getting items straight away.

 

From what I can see, once a rune is locked to a Dragon, it cannot be removed so lock them in wisely.  Strategist said they MAY be able to be overwritten by newer runes but I'm not 100% sure as I haven't tested it yet.

Yeah you can, all you need to do to 'overwrite' the original rune is to drag and drop on top of it. You will lose the original one still, but you CAN change them up if need be. There are a couple of guides on what sort of stones you should use in the Coli when doing different things (for example, one set for grinding, one for general battling etc).

Seems like around now is a good time to try and snipe items from the Marketplace since they just had maintenance and the shops (well Apparel and Battle at the least) fill up

Yes, that guide really helped me out in the last few days. I honestly wished I read it the moment I started. Don't be like the idiot me and exalt a dragon you actually like. Exalting does not power your dragon up. It permanently removes your dragon from your lair in exchange for some treasure and points towards your flight. I exalted a baby snapper thinking it'll make it grow up faster, but nope. I miss it already. I gave it the perfect name matching its amazing blue and black colors with its rune-like design.

Gahhh damnit, I really wanna get into this site since it looks like a lot of fun and these dragons are really pretty but not all that much works on my piece of shit toaster of a computer ;_; The games lag a load to the point where they aren't playable and the coli just doesn't work at all.... Is there anything to do other than those and breed dragons? 

(Do I even need to play the games or do the coli thing at all?? Hahaha I don't know what I'm doing and I'm checking out that guide Strat linked to a bit agooo)

Dominance, as mentioned previously, is based on the act of “exalting” dragons to the FR deities - in other words, removing them permanently from the site. Every Saturday, a tally is made of the exalted dragons for each flight. The flight that exalts the most* dragons wins Dominance, which includes:

-1 extra gathering turns for the week

-10% off the price of items in the treasure marketplace

-250 tr per day of Dominance

-a temporary (until another flight wins Dominance) increase in the battle stats of the dragons in that flight’s clans (so if Lightning won Dominance, every dragon with an owner in the Lightning flight, even if the dragon is from another flight, gets the stat raise)

*Level of the dragon exalted also adds weight; higher levels = more weight towards Dominance when that dragon is exalted.

When a dragon is exalted, the owner gets a base rate of (on average) 2500 treasure (and occasionally 1 gem). For every level past level 1 that the exalted dragon is, an average of 1500 treasure is added to that amount. There are also exalt bonuses, which are found on Flight Rising’s main page, and change daily: one each for a certain breed, gene, and colour.

To exalt a dragon, visit its page and click the “exalt” button. A dragon may not be exalted if it is wearing apparel, sitting on a nest, has a familiar, or listed for sale in the Auction House.
