Now THAT is a good enough reason right there (they're like FR's version of a petpet, only way better) and they can be quite hard to achieve too, so it's worth setting a goal on them that's for sure.

Wouldn't it be more effective to just have one group PM with everyone who wants to send their username(s) as opposed to sending lots of messages between everyone?

There's a limit to the number of participants in a PM. Plus, not everyone will likely want everyone else having their username. In a mass PM, any participant can add anyone else, so people don't have the control that they probably want over who has access to their details.

For those of you who don't know, Boolean is an exclusive Beta tester Familiar and were a VERY limited edition, I believe there is only a couple in circulation. Last I saw one on the Auction House, the owner was asking for 50,000 gems (or 20,000,000 Treasure).

Yeah, definitely at least make an account. I know for a fact that I can't seriously play at the moment due to time constraints (and I can't stop my gaming addiction once I get serious), but it's a nice opportunity to waste time when time is expendable.
