This date was simply the close of applications. I can't figure out how to close the applications (might take an admin) or I would have done so. Voters still have a couple days to make up their minds and vote.

We've been discussing and voting on the fly as people have applied, but tradition dictates separate periods for each phase.

Well, it seems hiding the Applications mod removes the current applications from everyone's* (*any moderators who can initially view it) views on the forum, it doesn't just 'lock' the ability to create new apps. So I think we just need to make it so that any applications made after the due date cannot be used, although we may be able to have them held over until the next round. @redlion

Sounds good. The next round of apps will start almost as soon as this round ends so that will work out. After that they should be a few weeks apart.
