May or may not be the best accent ever.
Definitely may.
I tend to agree with you.

My "accent" is pretty standard continental US, but I won't deny that when I start talking quickly my southern (Texan!) accent comes through. I try to hide it as much as possible unless I'm in a relaxed situation XD

Hoooooooooooooooly shit.
I'm from Minnesota. I live in Wisconsin now. You have the stereotypical accent. To a fucking T (for both states, northern halves of the states). Like straight out of Fargo to a T. Where in Minnesota were you from?

Y'all have beautiful voices. I'm jealous.
@Athayde can you post a recording in Portuguese? I'm interested in hearing your accent
Any particular request? ![]()

Anything is fine, as long as it makes your accent very apparent
I'll do my best lol
This probably wasn't supposed to make me anxious, but it does. :c
Nonetheless, I promise I'll try to record something worthy of thee. ![]()

It makes me anxious too lol. Two weeks ago I was gonna record 3 Brazilian accents for the TC people to show the difference here. I got really anxious and couldn't do it lmaoI'll do my best lol

It's okay, I've tried to do an English accent for certain people and sounded ridiculous. I couldn't even record at first because i was too nervous about it haha

I'm going to make you practise when you're in London. We'll try and convince people you're English. It's okay, I've tried to do an English accent for certain people and sounded ridiculous. I couldn't even record at first because i was too nervous about it haha

Brazilians usually dislike Portuguese accent, because it's stronger than ours, so it sounds a bit weird hahahaExplain, please!
I don't have any problems with my portuguese accent, but I hate my voice, such a weird tone and a bit hoarse (I'm glad that isn't very apparent in the recording lol).

I did some (awkward) voiceovers for a couple of makeup tutorials. I thought it was totally neat and accent-less at the time, but hearing them back I realize how thick my Dutch accent still actually is.
I wanted to do a quick Vocaroo but my mic is shite, so here's one of the YT videos;

I live in Belgium, so speaking English without an accent is fairly easy for me, although we're taught to talk with a British accent, which is quite difficult ![]()

'fairly easy'? Maybe only in your case then, I can't even have a short conversation with people without them not understanding me ![]()

Lol I find that Vlamingen speak better English (and Dutch) than Walloniers... I know for a fact that a lot of Walibi Belgium's staff, as an example, don't/refuse to talk Flemish or English. Must be French stubbornness they inherited ![]()

Haha well actually my boyfriend works in Belgium's Walibi right now! He studies to become a teacher though so he's the only one that doesn't meet your experience with Walibi staff
I live in Wallonia but speak Flemish at home, but indeed, never have I heard any of my neighbours speak English
some try to immitate me in Dutch though, it sounds so funny, they can't pronounce the Dutch 'g' for some reason! It's cute when they try it ![]()

Hope your boyfriend makes a change haha. It's one of the greater pet peeves of my colleagues (I work in Walibi Holland during Halloween) because they feel like they 'besmudge' the name of the park ![]()

I always refer to my accent as generic American #2, I'm a mix of the north and midwest, with the midwest coming out more when I drink. Because I live in Australia, I get a LOT of people who comment on my accent, but I find it really interesting how different the accents are regionally.
Victorians are really distinct from Queenslanders and people in NSW. Ditto Perth people I've met.
I always get asked about my accent, haha. I almost wish I had a card to hand out. ![]()
Love having married my Aussie hubby though, I think his accent is sexy.

My 'accent' is pretty weird now. Lately it's a weird mix of Canada & British since I spend a lot of time with my friend over seas and say a lot of things with her intonation.
Just got back from a month in the Eastern USA and I found myself picking up a LOT of weird words, and saying things completely differently. It also made it very apparent to me how my Canadian accent sounds *_*

My accent is weird as hell. I spent ten years on the US East Coast, then in South Florida, then the Midwest, then Texas. I also grew up watching lots of British and Australian film/television. Pretty much every word out of my mouth will have a different intonation. It's all very slight, but when I notice it, I can't stop noticing it for the rest of a conversation. I need a dialect coach lol
