I didn't realise this thread was so old now. I'll have to dig out some more Hermione monologues to recite.Pretty sure they get deleted after a while so they're probably not around any more and all these voices will be lost in time, like urine in rain. Thankfully, however, this means that vocal evidence of my existence will disappear into the ether eventually.
But yeah, there's no such thing as one British or English accent because they change like every 10 miles or something. My accent is vastly different to Ali's, for example, because she's extremely posh while I'm all common and we even use completely different words.

Booo none of the 2014 ones are working. Late to the party, yo!
YAY! In my neck of the woods that's what we would call "no accent".
Or most people would guess "American accent", which is terrible, because it's different depending on where you are in the states.
LOL Nice. I love this monologue.
Awww @Emily you have such a delicate voice! It's lovely!
Now I miss Ventrilo.
The British Library is accept recordings of accents for analysis!

The British library has a short list of lexical texts designed to elicit certain words that tend to have accents. They're not real paragraphs though, so they're weird to read.

I've been told I sound very southern. I don't necessarily dispute it as that would make sense given where I was born/grew up. I just don't hear it myself, especially compared to some of the dialects around here.

Haha, I've done readings of Harry Potter before!
After all these years you might sound more like Hagrid than Hermione though.
