I remember when I was a kid I was in a hurry to go to the toilet and when I finished I accidentally zipped my, uhh, banana. :crybaby: Whenever I think about it, I'd shiver in fear.

Also one time I played beside a huge empty drain and I accidentally slipped. I hit the bottom head first and bled like crazy. :o it was paiinnnfffuullll.

How about you guys? What is the most painful pain have you ever experienced?

I have phantom pains in my coccyx that occur in certain circumstances.

They can range from dull aches to synapse-searing agony.

    Endless fun.

    Kidney stones.

I had two children naturally. Kidney stones hurt worse.

While playing I got slammed into the fence by an opposition player, who was a friggin giant compared to me at the time. He landed on my leg with full force. *Snap*
Oh I also broke my nose surfing too. That didn't hurt anywhere near as much though.

I'm lame and haven't gotten hurt at all.

Getting the big needle stuck in when I donate blood doesn't necessarily tickle, though.

I can tolerate most wound-related pains like the time my radius bone shattered and a few chips were lodged into different parts of the muscle but the one thing I can never handle is the feeling of the surface of your fingernails slowly shaved off. In a biochem lab, someone dropped a test tube pretty basic (9-10M) solution of NaOH and glass shattered everywhere. I was facing away because I was writing in my lab manual but then my elbow felt really warm really quickly. I looked over and took off my coat ASAP. In the process of removing my coat, my right middle finger nail grazed against a shard of glass on the bench. Luckily there wasn't any base on that particular shard. I felt a sharp and quick small pain, but saw that my nail was shaved off to the point where it didn't bleed, but if I tapped it, it felt squishy and can "pop" any moment. It stung every time I ran. It seems insignificant, but I cringe at the thought of it.

I'll take a broken bone any day compared to that.

I feel that. Fingernails are probably my biggest "squick", to borrow an old LJ term.

Multiple fractures in my left elbow and then the doctor pulling the 3 pins they put in there out while I was awake. Yep, 3 pins which were pulled out of my bone.

I haven't broken anything, but I did slam my thumb in a car door once. The nail fell off a few days later and took almost a year to grow back.

    Pretty boring, I know. :p

A long time ago I had a gland problem and even though I had insurance my dad wanted to save money and took me to some dingy place for my surgery.
They gave me a cheap numbing shot and I felt almost everything. Especially when they sewed it up. I told them I needed another shot ,but I was like 15 ish and they didn't take me seriously. I actually have to get multiple lazer surgery to remove the gland(s) it self (I heard this hurts like a bitch). I also want to get another surgery to remove the fucking string they used since it's actually still in me today.

I think this is more emotional then physical really. Thank God I never broke something. Idk if my dad would take me to something like that again.
Pro tip: Don't be cheap on your children's surgery. >:C

Broke my knee once which was pretty agonising, definitely the worst of all the breaks I've had by far.

But then I had an ovarian cyst the size of a satsuma rupture before I could have surgery and spent about half a day just hoping I would die. I've never felt anything like it and I hope I never do again.

Probably delivering my second son.. both were not pleasant but the second one was significantly worse.

I also struggle with symphysis pubis dysfunction which is really common in pregnant women but I'm part of the 7% of women who have it outside of pregnancy as well, so that's fun. When I roll over in bed it feels like my bones in my hip/pelvic area are grinding together.

    Growing pains whilst growing up.

but to date the most painful by far is when I had a collapsed lung.  Both sides deflated and only one side re-inflated slightly.  Was an insane pain and can still remember it like yesterday even though it was over 11 years ago.

I tripped and fell on a metal pipe and I bled a lot on the wound above my eyebrows. Then my family took me to the hospital and have the wound stitched. That's properly the most painful moment.

A broken femur is apparently the most serious type of pain you can go through.

Fell out of a window Junior year of high school and when I landed I tried to brace myself, my elbow bent the wrong direction that hurt pretty bad. It didn't break though just tore most of the ligaments and tendons.

Had a ingrown toe nail one time that I decided I would fix myself grabbed it with a pair of pliers and pulled it out almost fainted.

That's all I can really think of the only thing I've broken is toes and that isn't too bad

I've had two pains that really stuck out to me. I cut off the tip of my thumb in the pepper slicing machine at Subway once. It hurt so bad I went out back and threw up. The other one was that I got a level 3 episiotomy during my oldest monster's birth. I don't remember feeling it at all, what I do remember is going pee and wishing I didn't have a crotch for like 3 weeks afterward. I never ever ever want to repeat that again.

LOL This whole thread is awful I don't know why I just sat and read/cringed my way through it.

Nothing particularly exciting has happened to me - kidney stones are the worst.

My old housemate used to vomit stomach acid all the time though that was intense.

My articulations have tha bad habits of dislocating themself for no apparent reasons.

I dislocated my hips 3 times, and each time I wanted to die. Knee are really fucking bad too.

But the worst, THE WORST is dislocating your elbow.

I don't really remember much of it because I fainted in less than 10 seconds. then I woke up in shock, threw up all over the place. had spasm for a while and finally my fiancé found me. I blacked out in the car to the hospital and the doctor at the emergency kindly resset my elbow for me. I threw up again, more or less blacked out, and went home.

I never want to feel that again.
