 Mostly older accounts that have been getting unfrozen lately. If you remember enough info for the account I guess there is still a chance. Seen people saying they were iced for 5 years getting uniced recently, so there's hope.

 

So like do I send in a ticket and hope for the best then? Since I still have all the information written down~ ^^ <3

This is great though!! Its so nice of them to unfreeze all these old accounts!!

I had no idea I have an account from 5 years ago I think I will try to get it unfrozen as well

I wonder if I could possibly get back an account I gave to a friend that they self froze because they were pissed at me. I miss my original account.

I've noticed more random events!  Which is awesome because I've been around for quite a long time and have nothing to show for it XD  Until JumpStart!  But, I still don't have much to show, and thaaaaaaaaaat's why I'm here.  I think the Coincidence may have been a response to the new takeover as well.

 

Also, I don't think they're more relaxed than they were - someone mentioned Team Codex in the AC Neoboards and the topic was immediately taken down.  They have an incredible grudge against Codex XD (TNT that is...)

The Coincidence would've been something they prepared months in advance of the takeover. The increased amount of REs is because of the Coincidence (supposedly). Ergo, the theory was that the takeover had very little to do with that.

People seem to be getting warned less for small chat infractions like directing people off site. I really doubt the rule loosening applies to cheating though.

Hi, its also worth noting that when acquisitions like this happen, generally speaking, a lot of the staff move with them. Upper management is really the only thing that will probably shuffle. So for those talking about frozen accounts, changes in the site, etc etc, understand that its more or less the same moderators/admins/game developers. At least in most cases. I cant speak for this one specifically, but again, in general

Hopefully Jumpstart begin looking at their survey results because I used 10+ proxies to tell TNT that they need to make more wars like the HATIC war.

I'm pretty glad that there seems to be at least some kind of loosening on strict rules though, I used to get warnings too often due to silly board things that I would forget about...

Durr I feel dumb, I had no idea Neopets had changed owner recently. I came back from a year-long hiatus in early April.

 

Don't know if it's related, but to me the normal Shop Wizard seems practically useless now. It regularly shows no results or only one or two for common <10k items!

TNT may still be moving things over to JumpStart, so glitches may still be in effect. I honestly have no idea how long these things usually take, but they did say to expect some glitches while it's happening. Then again, Neo's ALWAYS glitchy, so yeah.

This is a really good point. I guess that means the daily is doing what it's designed to.

 

It'll be interesting to see if JumpStart takes Neo in the right direction. Since they have experience with mobile maybe the Neo app won't be too bad.

 

The FAQ about JumpStart does say:

So changes would just be because higher management wants to change things. I'd love it if they started taking advantage of the fact that Neo has a huge older audience (and I assume older players are the ones spending the most money on NC, too, so that should be plenty of motivation for them).

If the freeze rate thing IS true, I would say it could easily be caused by TNT adjusting to new management. So maybe not necessarily on purpose, they could just be getting used to a new routine or working on new cool stuff (I wish) for Neo.
