I def miss the old pet poses. I envied all those people who had highly painted pets cause I wanted one so badly.

I miss the old layout. The pets were far better designed in my opinion. Playing games to earn NP was very difficult, but things were a lot cheaper. I think faerie paint brushes were 50K.

 

I also miss the old boards. Damn, some of the stuff I got away with...

I like the old Tigermouse, it has that mischievous look about it. That was the reason I bought one for my Kougra.

The new one looks too well-behaved. XD

It was so difficult to have one, but I managed to get one with a friend's phone. I loved my lutari so much and literally threw it away without thinking it for a second when it turned into this:

The pets look hideous now. The colours, particularly Halloween, Darigan & mutant, lost everything that made them unique. I also agree on the original Lutari, it was glorious! One of my favourtes was the Darigan Zafara:

Really, the change forever put me off painting my pets again (I just zap now). But, wow, some of those very first Neopets are pretty bad too! I mean what the hell is this?!

I really miss the Lutari Island application. It was such a cool feature, it's a shame they retired it.

Oh man, do not even get me started on how badly I miss the UC pets!

I ended up pounding my Baby Zafara and getting a Baby Gelert in her place because I hated it so much and the Gelerts are one of the very few Baby pets I think are actually cute and not goofy looking (and at the time, the Baby Zafara was the only painted pet I had and there wasn't a "don't convert" option for Babies )

 

I really miss how badass the Darigan pets used to look. The horrible customisation poses DO NOT do them justice. I recently zapped a Darigan Aisha which was always one of my dream pets… but noooooo. And I don't think I could even get an UC one, even though that's my new dream.

Seriously look at how majestic and badass the Aisha was.

But nope… I'm stuck with… this. Yet I haven't zapped her again yet. I guess because I'm delusioned by how great they were. 

I really wish UC was an option for colours like Darigan and Royal that had unique poses… Baby too, since they don't even have many customisation options besides backgrounds (yes I'm still bitter years later).
