I remember on Codex here, we were once allowed to advertise our shops (buying/selling) in our signatures and then something happened and we were no longer allowed to put links to our shops in our signatures.
So why can't we have links to our shops in our signature?

you can have links.... i just would think it wouldn't be very wise to advertise direct links to your neopets account since this is a cheating site.

Yeah, advertising buying/selling threads on Neocodex is not allowed anywhere but in that section of the forum. As Strat said, it violates the rules surrounding it and the reason it was applied was due to people who were banned from trading using it to skirt around the ban even without access to the TP section. Sorry! 
It's for the best. You can bump your thread every 24 hours, that's more than enough.
