And there's the tuberculosis to consider.

I've been vaccinated so I'm not too worried about catching it from him.

Involving yourself in stolen virtual property from young children is something to ashamed of, not joked about.

Lol, to be fair this is a cheating forum involved in cracking the very rules of a game erryone agreed to. There's nothing diplomatic nor moral about that.

We cheat the game, not the players. There's no way to get around the fact that stealing stuff from other users is scamming and won't ever be tolerated here.

Stop acting like there isn't a difference between a prepubescent child who worked hard for their property compared to a multi-national billion dollar company who lose no profit from virtual replication.

It's not scamming at all. Firstly, before being trade-banned, I never 'stole' pets I would only re-sell them. Secondly, it's not stealing if users abandon their email accounts, and then you re-create them.

Nothing is taken, what use is an account to a 'prepubescent' child (I think it's a consensus that it's older users who play Neo now) who's abandoned their account, something like 5 years ago, only to be purged and forever lost by TNT.

Everyone agreed to the terms on Neo, trying to justify cheating the game is not gonna work. I'd like to see you defend this concept if you 'cheated' Wall St, just because they're 'a multi-national billion dollar company'.

But hey, it's Codex' house, Codex' rules, and I'm okay with that. I have every right to be here, and I'll stay because it's a great community. But if you can't deal with what I do outside of Codex, okay, that's cool, stay outta my way even if you want. Just don't stir shit up.

You actually don't have every right to be here and I don't know why you'd ever think you do. Being a part of this community is a privilege and if you were smart, you'd stop abusing it.

As long as everyone abides by the rules, sure. I like to think that every man or woman has a right to free speech and opinion.

To be honest, I've simply defended my stance, I haven't abused it. It's tough being slandered against as a scam rat as @ Frizzle has stated. I have strong opinions which I leave in the debate thread, and I can't understand why so many people continue to prod the chip on their shoulder.

Yes, but you, specifically have broken the rules here. So own up to it and stop victimizing yourself, you're only making it worse.

I have indeed! I've never denied it, but I will defend myself when vilifying comments are made in my direction.

Gaining access to a person's account without their permission so you can take and sell their stuff for your own personal gain is stealing. I can provide definitions of the term if you really need it...

But this thread is about the staff meeting so it shouldn't be taken over by somebody disingenuously trying to claim that what they do isn't wrong.

It's not theirs if they've abandoned it. It's not my rubbish anymore once I've thrown it in the trash?

Stealing by finding is a crime too. Just because they haven't logged in for a while doesn't mean they've abandoned their account...

Get back on topic.

Mhmm, there are actual laws on 'treasure finding'. But we'll never know in such a case.

To get back on topic, when will these changes be amended and adressed/are they being so?

Treasure-hunting laws apply to property with no known owner.

The changes are already being implemented where appropriate.

I think it's great about the scammers/trading ban added to the banned member list, but tiny suggestion?

Maybe add a sub-forum strictly for trade related issues/bans? While it's amusing to read that @CountFurFur got a warn for posting porn or @Adam got a warn for calling someone a See You Next Tuesday, those will degrade over time where as trade bans will not. Since those are permanent, I think it would be best for a sub-forum so people can quickly find out why specific members got their privileges revoked without having to scroll back for who knows how long (especially with some members staying here for a long time despite not being able to trade)

And for the sake of my own knowledge, I know that if person A is trade banned they can't initiate any form of trading with another member, but can B initiate with A if for whatever reason they read the reason they got their trading revoked and just didn't care/didn't think it was that big of a deal? What are the rules on that?

Person A isn't allowed to trade at all.

What if person A only deals in 'other'? That way there is no risk

Yes. But it defies the principle of the rule, and logic.
