Dad just took home my sister from her boarding school because a mass hysteria happened in her school yesterday. The school ordered the rest of the schoolgirls who aren't affected to go home while they sort out the situation. I don't know... A lot of people associate mass hysteria of schoolgirls with the supernatural but I'm sure it is a result of stress from being in isolated area for too long. What do you guys think?

Ghosts do not exist. It's more a state of mind thing, like if you believed in ghosts and went to a graveyard at night specifically trying to look for ghosts chances are you probably will see one, or at least you'll think you saw one. But that's just your mind playing tricks on you, the mind is a powerful thing after all.
The guys on QI raised a valid point about there not being ghost cows or ghost animals, only ghost humans for some reason.

Mass hysteria in a place full of only girls? Doesn't sound too supernatural to me. Neither too uncommon.
I do believe in ghosts though. I love the thought of bodyless souls floating around, having an eye on the living. Probably laughing their asses off. Or just shaking their heads.

That sounds like mass hysteria to me rather than it being something supernatural.
However, I do believe in ghosts... And not just because I'm a HUGE Supernatural fangirl, but because it just makes sense to me. Those who are gone are not truly gone, especially if there's something holding them back or keeping them from really "resting in peace".

I don't believe it's possible to still communicate with this reality while you're in the next, but I'm open to being proven wrong

I had a bad experience with a Ouija board when I was 15/16. Got some scary answers and since then I've felt like something's been following me. All my friends were crying except me. Can't believe that thing was ever marketed as a game ![]()
Anyone else have similar experiences?

Don't believe in ghosts, but I do believe that when a person dies their energy is released back into the world, and sometimes you can feel that.

That's just ridiculous. That's the sort of thing worth dreaming up to get out of lessons for a month. Every night, about 9pm before anyone's actually asleep, one person starts screaming and everyone joins in. No one's sleep pattern gets ruined and everyone gets a giggle.
As per ghosts, not really, I believe the human mind creates most of these things.

Has anyone ever experienced it you asked? Yes, as the result of a family member using a Ouija board. I would strongly not urge anyone to use one. Now what you would call whatever is following supernatural or ghosts, I call them demons. I'm not here to argue but I have experienced the aftermath of a family member using one. In fact it got so bad one time that I put my body in such a shock because I was in such fear that I started puking everywhere. There are other horror stories about these sinister boards. Why do they market them as a family game? I have no idea. All you'd have to do is Google search and you'd find many many stories on people who have been haunted by Ouija boards.
On another note, I don't believe in ghosts, however I do believe there are demons.

I would recommend people not to play with the supernatural like Ouija boards. Even if you are completely adamant in your belief that spirits don't exist, there is a good chance that you may be traumatized anyways.
traumatized... how? ![]()

anywho when i was a 13 years old i used to join a scout camp at school. around midnight there was a game called the night owl to test our bravery. basically the facilitators would put us on blindfold and place us on isolated locations on the area to be left alone for almost one hour. when it was over, one of the scout members shared with everyone that he peeked through the blindfold at one time and saw a cat standing on its 2 legs like a human not far from where he was sitting. when the cat realized that he saw it, it quickly ran away. i was like... lol.

I had an old coworker have some really strange things happen to her after playing with a Ouija board with some friends.
I've never personally had any sort of strange supernatural things happen, but I do believe they happen. I do believe in ghosts/spirits/whatever you'd wanna call it. But I also think it comes to a point where the mind does emphasize/exacerbate things.

My sister made me play with a Ouija board when we were younger. Except it was a square and the devil's name is Rich Uncle Pennybags. Also the board is called monopoly. The end result is you lose all your money and end up in jail.
Pretty sure it's the same concept.

That guy determined the weight of the 'soul' leaving the body upon death. Obviously a more down-to-earth explanation is that they're gasses leaving the body, just like how bodies can still moan, fart and burp days after they died ![]()
My fiancee believes strongly in something spiritual although he's not sure what it is. He swears that he and his girlfriend at the time saw an orb flying across the house for a small moment.
I've seen some very spooky things myself as well, but nothing I cannot explain with logical reasons. My little sister, when she was just about 6 or 7, woke up in the middle of the night and then cried for my mother. When mom asked what happened, she said she saw an old lady in the doorway who was limping when she walked in. We never told her, but the previous owner of the house was an old lady that broke her hips shortly before dying. We were pretty spooked for a while.
Despite all that, I'm gonna go ahead and say no, I don't believe in ghosts. I was going to mention QI too
But 99% of phenomenae are easily explained, so that's not nearly enough to convince me of them.
Oh, and I saw an article of Fox news today about some haunted house and that their cameraman got scratched by some demon. Like, really? Fox, you're not even trying to be a news source anymore =_=

I may not believe in ghosts but everything is made up of energy and energy cannot be destroyed even after death.
As far as ghosts go, if they did exist I dont believe they would be made up of a soul/spirit of past deceased. Unless your brain continues to function after death, there wouldnt be a you to become a ghost
