For the love of God, please stop responding. You honestly could not possibly dig yourself a deeper hole, for reals.

I wasn't going to say anything further but...
It's unethical to enforce morals upon someone. Just because you don't agree with something doesn't mean you have to prevent them from doing something *pokes those dang Republicans*
I don't let my friend smoke weed in my house, but that doesn't mean I'll chain him to a tree to stop him from doing it outside.

BRING BACK NEGATIVE REP!
Posted 02 September 2014 - 06:35 AM
Can we make this thread about why negative rep needs to be reimplemented instead of Magical? It's a topic that's been needlessly discussed fewer times.
I hated negative rep.

It's been tried several times. It's failed every time. It'll likely never come back.

It's still a more interesting topic than Magical.
BUT....BUT....!!!
Basically it was abused and nothing positive can come from it (weirdly enough...).
Why do you think Facebook doesn't allow dislikes?
YT should do the same tho. I swear all the trolls just negative rep

As long as Facebook does not have a dislike button, we will never have -rep because codex is a clone of fb
List of times when NeoCodex can possibly re-implement negative rep:

The UN is an example of ultimate collaboration of human law. NeoCodex is an absurdly miniscule speck by comparison. You can't compare how these two bodies of organizational function. It's like expecting a small town knitting club to have the same standards of military and politics as Russia. On top of that, the UN retroactive clause is about national or international law. We are discussing trade bans.
I repeat (since you failed to grasp it th first time), just can't you make that comparison from two things of vastly differing magnitudes.
Discusing human rights philosophy outside of poltical bodies is a different matter.

Why would you do such a thing, why?????
WHY ARE YOU PUTTING PEOPLE THROUGH THIS, WHY?!

If any of you want neg rep so badly, what don't you just rep every other message but the person who you would give the neg rep to? The person would suffer psychological damage via relative exclusion.

But I want a faster and easier way to psychologically damage people!
