Fiance and I are having 2 different meals our guests can choose from. Either a prime rib steak or a rocky mountain trout with sides

[Rainbow] trout is my absolute favorite fish! There's a place in downtown Little Rock called "The Flying Fish", and the little hole in the wall has the most delicious trout, zucchini, red beans and rice I've ever tasted. Nomnom

    Massive dessert table with all kinds of cakes and pastries. Everything else I could take or leave. My significant other can decide on that part, dessert is MINE.

    I don't believe in marriage, but if I do end up getting married I'd try and do a buffet style thing with stations so everyone can pick and choose and get what they want. I'd try and make sure every station had a vegan option too just in case. I really like the idea of themed food stations for dinner events.

    Any Southerners (Americans) in here? My girlfriend and I want to have Bojangles Chicken Supremes and Seasoned Fries. We went to a wedding in Raleigh last year and they had unlimited cookout nuggets and fries for anyone who knows what that is. Simply put, it was amazing.

    But in all seriousness, A good protein with some roasted veggies and maybe a little baked mac and cheese is what I've found to work the best at weddings I've attended. And besides the wedding cake, a dessert table full of wedding-themed goodies is always a hit.

    That bouquet would receive an instant "yes" from me to a marriage proposal.

    You likely won't eat at your wedding. We didn't get to eat at mine. We were running around the whole time. I had a friend fill up a couple plates for us and put  it in our car as we left.

    This made me think of Marshall and Lily's wedding from HIMYM. xD

    Hmmm.... what would I serve? Bacon-wrapped asparagus looks amazing, pulled pork bbq mac and cheese <3, something with potatoes, sweet potato quinoa chili is amazing so maybe that. Salad, fruit, steamed broccoli.... Hmmm what else? xD

    Also, open bar duh!!

    @talbs yess! BOJANGLES!!!

    I just saw this. @Napiform, you are a queen amongst us mere humans. HNG.

    Also on a serious note, I'd probably have herb crusted salmon with a beurre blanc sauce and some sort of free run chicken if I have to have meat. Asparagus, roast potatoes with rosemary, stuffed peppers maybe, corn on the cob because it's delicious, broccoli of some sort and if I want to be real messy then lasagna with lots of zucchini pls. Otherwise chipotle burritos and pizza for everyone. Also obviously angel food cake for cake and idgaf if it isn't stable I want it to be 100 layers high and then I want to go around after the reception and give cake to random people on the streets before I hit up some place for nuggets and some strawberry-kiwi snapple.

    But I haven't put real thought into this. I just want people to have a hecka good time and if they aren't happy I'd probably throw an apron on and go to the kitchen and make grilled cheese sandwiches and mac'n'cheese for people. hah.
