Been thinking about jumping ship to another flight and wonder what everyone else thought of their flights? I really don't like my current flight's eye color (and I had no idea that flights affected eye colors when I picked it ). I'd love to join an organized, dominance pushing flight, maybe even one with a small community and what not. Suggestions guys?

Shadow eyes are purple. I think arcane eyes are pink

Arcane. I was part of shadow, but they seemed really, really focused on dominance, and less on other things (like chatting/advice). Nearly all of their main board was full of threads starting like... "[DOM]..."

 

When Arcane pushes though, we push hard. We beat wind even though they were always shown ahead of us in one of our last pushes.

 

 

Arcane is very kind, I made a "came here from..." thread and numerous people sent me dragons and items. I've seen multiple threads just asking for everyday advice, and there's always a huge amount of responses. There's the food bank if you run out of food, places for artists to collaborate (can't remember if we have contests, we might), game/movie nights...ect

 

We have the best names for newbies/The Arcanist too: Magelets, Space Dad, Space Pope, Great Pink Space Daddy, Space Potters (which I am proud to say I came up with, due to arcane's connection with magic and space).

 

Plus, we get the best slogan/meme/quote..."Thanks, Arcanist!"

I personally like the Light flight just because the eye color is less obvious and can go with most color combinations for dragons. I don't visit the forums so I can't comment on that.

From what I can tell the Lightning flight is pretty friendly, I don't go into the forum much though

I'm in arcane, and my dragons' eyes are purple?

Are your dragons from the shadow flight? Check the symbol on their pages, by their name,  if it's purple they're from the shadow flight. Which is why their eyes are purple.

What about the wind flight? They seem to be pretty good in dominance battles...

If you're looking for a dominance-pushing flight, I think you're better off joining the Ice, Lightning, or Plague Flights.

If you're into the dom pushes Arcane is the last flight you want to go to.  They're so large they're always at the bottom.  They are however one of the nicest and most helpful flights.

I'm in Arcane right now and while it's great that they're so supportive and kind like @Satsuki says, I don't feel like it's structured at all. We also have like at least 3, if not more dominance groups that seem to run separately but are affiliated with each other o.0 I tried to join in and offer some services and I was very warmly welcomed by the leader. But when I asked what I was supposed to do, I got the answer that there is no set method so it's kind of like a free for all? You ping who you want, do what you want and so on as long as it kinda sorta fits into the job description? Since then, my posts offering food and training have been swallowed up by the massive amount of ppl in that thread and I still don't have any idea what some people are doing...

 

Its true that Arcane is very friendly and welcoming but the same could be said for tons of people on the forums and I've actually made more friends chatting in the regular forums than I have in my flight's forum since I feel like a total outsider in the flight's forums. I want my flight to be dominance centered. From that I can get my sense of community. The regular forums are well enough to entertain my social side.

 

But mostly I just hate the pink eyes I'm sorry >.<

Arcane4lyf. I got my account from a friend and right now I'm in Lightning, but I plan to switch back to where I started...eventually...

As far as I can tell, the lightning and plague flights are organized.  They use pinging and spreadsheets and raffles and stuff.

I wouldn't go with wind... we never win. But eyes are pretty. I don't do forums besides here, so I can't tell you about that side of it.

It's a toss up between Fire and Lightning for me. I like Fire because they're chill and can win dominances if they try. Lightning is a stronger dominance team than fire, but the boards move way too fast and if you want to feel belong, focus more on Private Messages What I dislike about both of them is that there are always at least 5 people in both flights that take their flight memes way too far (ie Flambebe for Fire, SCIENCE! for Lightning).

I was in arcane but I really wanted to win in dom

so i join shadow and they are really friendly but people like to start drama with the shadow flight

I was in Fire on my first account, everyone in the forums seemed super friendly. Currently in lightning flight, haven't visited the forums much though, so I can't comment on that.

I've thought about switching to Arcane for the eye color. xD but then again, I could just find someone to host a nest for me I guess.

I was Arcane in my first experience...then selected Shadow when I started my current account. That didn't last long (mainly because I thought that the eyes were too dark), and I switched to Lightning. I don't participate on the boards and so haven't been able to compare anything in that regard...but I think that I am sticking with Lightning.

I picked arcane, but i am thinking of switching to ice. The eyes are kinda small though, from a distance i don't notice them lol. Maybe when i start getting awesome looking dragons i will care more about their eye color

I picked Ice the first time I joined FR. It's really cool. I chose it more to the description rather than the color

I wish I knew about the eye colour and flight relationship because I don't like the Fire Flight's orange eyes. I don't think I would change though because the members in the forum are super nice and it does feel like a tight-knit community.

Plus they're not usually in the top of the dominance, iirc.

Lighting IS in the upper dominance rankings fairly often, and I absolutely love their eye colour.
