I honestly don't know. I guess it's because I've known them for so long and have hoped that things would change and be different but I guess the only person I'm fooling is myself. I joined a music & service fraternity last semester so I'm thinking it might just be better to make new friends there and ditch these ones...
I wouldn't ditch them completely, but maybe distance yourself from them. If you feel like they're a negative part of your life, then try to keep away from that a little bit, and definitely make some more friends. Sometimes you just need space from people to realize the parts of them that made you become friends in the first place. Doesn't always happen but you never know. If you grow apart, you grow apart. If you remain distant friends or rebuild the bond then that's good too.
But definitely try to find friends that fit your interests now!

That's some good advice. Thanks ![]()

I'm tired of feeling uncomfortable around my cousin whenever her boyfriend is around. And that's ridiculous, because she's as close to me as my sister (or even more). But knowing that he's jealous or whatever stupid thing he feels, makes it inevitable.
I have the same problem ;( My cousin and I are the same age, we grew up together, studied together, my mom and his mom are super close, we're like twins.. and his wife is jealous.. she even got mad mad that he chose me as the maid of honor.

It's just stupid. I'm glad he's her first boyfriend, because I really don't want to see him as her husband. They've broken up a few times, so it just gets weaker everytime. Thankfully.
Just so you have an idea of how jealous he is. He got mad at her because she was wearing "my" jacket. I say "my" because my mom had bough it for me, but it was too small, so she gave it to my cousin. I didn't even wear the thing.

Football is the most boring thing...For every 1 minute that passes on the game clock, 10 minutes passes in real time. BORING.

Basketball is just as bad. One time was with a buddy who was watching a game with less than a minute left and he told us to go ahead because he wasn't sure how long that minute would take.

@Swarley and @LollitaM apparently this is a very common thing? o.O
My sister-in-law (brother's partner) was the jealousy monster. She was jealous because we're so close (my brother and I) and felt resentful every time we hanged out together. It got to a point where she tried to make us feel guilt for maintain our level of friendship, closeness and relationship like when we were both single. Because "two grown ass adults, especially if brother and sister, can't spent the night at each other's houses when one of them is not single anymore. It doesn't look good and it's sick".
We stopped doing some things only the two of us because of her, like going to the movies, the beach, a night out, or any kind of roadtrip. She insisted to go with us, which killed the point of our brother&sister time or tried to prevent him for meeting me.
At the final stage of their relationship, she went as far as saying we were probably sleeping together because when he stopped sleeping at their house when were trying to re-build their relationship, he crashed at my place for a couple of months. This was because every time we had a family reunion at my mum's we would sneak out in the middle of the night to a vacant room to talk. I don't sleep and since we were kids he always tried his best to help me with my condition, we would talk all night and he would tell me stories, faerietales or things that happened with him during the day. Alas, it never worked but we STILL love to have times like this. One night, she "caught" us in the same bed talking to each other and assumed we were not only sleeping together, but sleeping together. Lol she bitch about it to my mum next morning and made us all laugh, which only made her more mad and... kinda... green.
At the beginning this reaction was only towards other women, friends, co-workers. She showed some jealousy but nothing big like this. At that time I told him to be careful because usually that shit escalates pretty quickly and can end up bad, like murder-followed-by-suicide bad. By the end he was only trying to make things work because of their daughter but maintain any kind of relationship that bad because of kids it only makes things worse and it's bad for everyone especially the kid.
Any kind of relationship like that is doomed. @Swarley your cousin should dump him for good. She can get better. ![]()

Not sure if this would be classified as a confession, but I know it's just sheer stupidity.
I was changing emails on my spare today, and I accidently entered the wrong one (I don't own this email that was wrong) and I hit submit. Now, since I can't access the confirmation link, I don't know if I'll be able to change it tomorrow since it's not going to be confirmed today.

@Lucille that's just sick, being jelous of brother/sister... Fortunately my sister doesn't have a problem dumping guys because of jealousy problems lol
Agree 100%. It's sick and unfortunately it is a common thing ;(, my sister-in-law is not like yours (jealous of simblings), but I remember that when I lived with my brother I couldn't bring a friend home without her bitching out that my friend was hitting on him

People who end their typed messages with the word "so" and an emoticon as a means to be persuasive makes me want to virtualize my raging fist through cyberspace, then rematerialize in font of their monitor to form a knuckle sandwich.
I'll also confess that I couldn't find the pet peeves thread so i dumped this here instead.
