That whole area is starting to get rough. I vacationed all the time there as a kid and boy has it changed. I go to NMB/Cherry Grove probably 7-8 times a year and I always take Highway 22 so I can avoid Conway and Myrtle altogether.

 

Yeah, and that's not the first time it has happened either. A student got shot and killed in the parking lot of the school owned apartments when I was a sophomore. The campus itself is beautiful, but the whole surrounding area is just shit.
