Spoiler
Oh I have really bad gas.
Feminism had good intents when it was the suffragette movement, the first and second waves, but now its main concern is pseudo-science and mansplaining instead of real issues.

Well put. Because of what you said these 3rd wave (if you will) feminists wonder why they get made fun of, and no one takes them seriously.

I looked at some European countries that offer full NHS style treatment and its roughly $150 a month for most of them.

How much does health insurance cost the average American?

Mine was $280/month basic coverage.

On the marketplace, with no company help, the cheapest I could find was $180/month and that was a $6,000 deductible. Anything decent is over $250+ per month.
The crazy thing is that I make below the limit to get a government subsidy, but it tells me I qualify for a $0 subsidy. Good health insurance should not be 1/6 of my take home pay.

What does basic coverage cost and the $6,000 deductible means you have to pay the first $6,000 for any treatment right?
Yes, you pay $6,000 before insurance helps out on paying for anything.

How much does health insurance cost the average American?
My job provides mine as part of my "compensation package" and it's something to the tune of $475 a month and I think the coverage sucks. I literally never go to the doctor for anything.

It makes me want to hug and kiss the next NHS building I see. Shit, I don't even use the NHS but it's a good safety net if you get stabbed/get herpes.

Health insurance is such a fucking rip off here. I'm really grateful that I have amazing health insurance through the military. Too bad I'll lose it when I get out in 2018, and I'll hopefully move to Europe after that.

TRJE15 is practically over, and I can't wait for Mancave to get home and tell me everything about it. I feel I can let the tiny envy I've been feeling about it to let go and give room to excitement. Part of me wanted to be there so bad I've been in physical pain these last weeks. I've been dragging my ass around, feeling sorry for my shitty self for leaving that life years ago, but damn it, now all I care is to see that man walking throught that door and tell me everything is to tell about it. I can't remember the last time I was this excited about anything!
