What is this? Year of the missing flights? Have they all gone to some Lord of the Flies type island or is the Bermuda Triangle growing?
Ignoring my terrible jokes, I hope they manage to reestablish communications.

I think it's a huge conspiracy.

...you do know where the Triangle is?
Hence the "growing" part.

I hope this is just a plan like they're all going to some super secret cool island to film a movie about missing flights.

That sucks. I'm from singapore and I have a couple of indonesian friends who would be flying back home/back to singapore after xmas and I hope everyone is safe.
Tho, statistically all missing flights never come back all right do they.
Woke up to such sad news.

Nope.^ The stats are not on their side.

Aliens
Posted 27 December 2014 - 10:45 PM
Besides highjackings and... aliens, there are a number of reasons for planes to deviate from the flight path.@Kate and I both thought this... like at least a hijacking. =| Seriously? how do flights just disappear....
Posted 27 December 2014 - 10:51 PM
That damn black hole again...
But seriously, I hope they find the plane.

I know this seems like it's the latest in a string of related events, but really, planes go missing all the time. The thing with Malaysia M370 was that it was the second plane from the same airline to go down within a year, the other being shot down over Ukraine by russian separatists.
That's what THEY want you to think.

There's been a private flight of a pilot and his wife heading to Florida (or something like that?) or around there and for some reason their plane depressurized and they had both passed out. They ended up flying right over Cuba airspace before running out of fuel. There's definitely a lot of reasons flights can go off track.

Apparently, the pilot requested that they fly up and above a storm cell that had formed in the flight path to try and avoid it, shortly after the correspondence, AirAsia lost all contact with the flight.

Hopefully this one will actually be found given that they know roughly where it was at the time, it would be a miracle if there turns out to be any survivors though.
Certainly hasn't been a good time for Malaysian airlines recently...
