Who to nominate: We are looking for someone who is kind, helpful, and has made great contributions to the forum while encouraging activity. You may nominate up to three people.

 

How to nominate: To nominate, either PM me or post here. Your nomination must include the person's username and 2-3 well thought out reasons - for example, explaining how well you think they did contributing to something. Reasons like "because they're cool" will not be counted.

 

How to win: The three users with the most nominations will be voted on at the end of the nomination period. The person with the most votes at the end of the voting period will become January's Member of the Month.

 

Full Rules:

- Do not nominate yourself or ask to be nominated.

- Staff members may be nominated but each individual staff member may only win once every six months.

- Provide 2-3 well thought out reasons as to why you think the user you have nominated should be Member of the Month. If your reasoning is not valid, your nomination may not be considered.

- Post your nomination here or PM me if you would like to be anonymous.

- If you won the previous month, you cannot be nominated.

This award can be achieved by anyone by following the criteria below:

- Of those 3 nominees, none of them must be staff members (moderators+admins) who won within the last six MOTM's.

I nominate @Kord for her donations. She always donates to contests to help bring activity and competition. She deserves some recognition for this, and the almost-tie from the last voting showed that. She's also one of the sweetest members, she's awesome!

 

I'm also nominating @ortin, he's done some great guides for neopets, and he's one of the most active members (from what I see when I'm online), and he's a great guy. Others make fun of him and yet he's still nice to everyone. He deserves some credit.

You are WAY too kind, @Swarley, but that's actually you in your awesome normal mode...and actually...YOU were already one of my three picks for nomination this go around (heh I even confided in someone just the other day who my three selections for the month would be). To elaborate further for the folks reviewing nominations: Swarley is truly a positive and active gem posting about the forums, participating in events, and being plain nice both here and over at the Minecraft server.

 

My other two picks are going to be listed here together, as the reasons are identical for both: @Strategist and @Romy have both been busting their asses putting in countless hours of preparation and testing through the past 5 weeks at least to ensure that Minecraft's portion of January Gaming Month is absolutely stellar (they'll likewise be busting their asses when the competition commences to ensure that all proceeds smoothly). Aside from their Minecraft efforts, the degree of care and participation that they put behind activity here on a consistent basis (even despite holiday and/or school madness) clearly supports their nominations.

I would also like to nominate @Kord for helping out in every way possible around the forum and on the Minecraft server, whether it be with contest donations, participating in contests, sparking activity and various discussions and just being all around awesome in what she does, also all while juggling a massive work project in the background.

 

@Keil gets my second nomination for all the work and effort he put into running this years Advent Calendar giveaway in @Scot's absence. You did such a stellar job at getting things sent out on time and organising everything to start with. Thanks for bringing some extra holiday cheer to the forum mate!

 

@Trichomes gets my final nomination this month for the awesome job she did at organising and running our Private+ Secret Santa! Now I know that a majority of people on the forum wouldn't have seen this all unfold, but I can assure you it was uber-fun and well worth the effort. The work you put in to making sure it ran as smoothly as possible (without ever having done one here before and not knowing how much of a success it may/may not have been) was great. I look forward to next years Secret Santa!

@Kord - for her contribution is so many ways to the forums. Her presence, giving nature, time and patience are a few attribute that stick out to me. She has only grown exponentially over the past while and I think it has been noticed by everyone. Also her relation to everything on the codex server for minecraft. While I don't play it, I know she is on there tons which means that its getting good use out of it

 

@Keil - For being a great MOD, running the advent calendar. I haven't been here long but he is always helpful, makes himself easily available, and is very active beyond what he needs to be. Also I love Kale and because of you I can name my future child Kale without spelling it as such and seemingly being a total hipster. Thank you friend.

 

@Swarley - You are such a great member! I often see you offer help to people, be aware of others situations and reach out to people. You respond and keep conversations going which is something forums definitely need to stay alive Thank you for being rad as heck!
