Neopian Bank Glitch

The Neopian Bank is currently experiencing a few issues where either withdrawing or depositing Neopoints results in a loss.

Until Neopets investigates this issue, we'd recommend leaving your NP alone for now.

 

 

 

This may not last long. I just wanted to formally warn y'all.

 

UPDATE- It would appear that TNT has patched the glitch and are returning lost neopoints. The banks appears also to be functioning as usual. Proceed to use the bank at your own risk as there has been no official statement of the glitch being finally over yet.

@Fikri - it looks like you can still collect interest with no problems, according to the boards. 

I also found this response from TNT that someone posted:

 

"A solution for your issue has been suggested.

We've added extra logs to have a better view of NP removal, and our logs show that yours was completed.

Unfortunately we do not see any missing np."

Quite the explanation, TNT.

EDIT- i just read the boards, people are pretty mad about this. It sounds like noone expects tnt will do anything to solve it. Not sure if i am feeling as hopeful now as i was a few mins ago about it all being resolved fast. :\

Apparently people have lost millions from it, sent in tickets, and gotten responses from TNT saying that they have no record of them depositing anything. This is just bad customer service all around.

This is just another instance of them plugging their ears and closing their eyes while saying "la la la, we can't hear you" when faced with a serious technical issue and angry users. It's a great way to set your business up for failure.

Heard some guy lost 8m last night. I just raised my valorous suite max NP on hand to like 99m just in case haha.

TNT are being slapped by their players big time. I hope it makes a difference. If we aren't 'legally' allowed to cheat the game, they should surely face consequences for cheating their players. Blah makes me mad.

 

 

Welp, it doesn't look any safer to deposit or withdraw. Rumors are that the glitch only affects withdrawals and deposits of 500k+. If you're not a billionaire (and even if you are) it is probably better just not to risk it.

I'm depositing and withdrawing my NP in the bank and I still have yet to experience this glitch.  Then again, I've only been depositing/withdrawing my NP in small amounts at a time (1000-2000 NP), so this method is the safest way for now.

Whoops, I've withdrawn/deposited around 1 mil NP a few times. Luckily haven't had it glitch out. Probably won't be doing anything with that NP now

TNT seemed to have resolved the issue and are returning lost neopoints.

 

I would advise proceeding with caution and at your own risk at this point. no-one on the neoboards has mentioned a successful transaction yet. I will be sure to update the thread when there is more news

 

EDIT- I personally just deposited 2m nps without a hassle. It would appear the glitch has been officially patched. I still advice proceeding at your own risk with caution.

This began a few days ago, some people have lost millions, but some have had it returned too. I personally have withdrawn and deposited a lot, but haven't experienced problems luckily. I think it's fixed now (could be wrong)

Im glad this was fixed, it is pretty unfortunate how TNT works sometimes. I was working on helping a person out by pretty much donating her 150,000 neopoints to help them get a super pea chia cape, and she was worried the points might get lost in the trading post. ill message her today and tell her the glitch has been fixed. ^.^

Yesterday I made a few big np transfers from and towards bank.(over 500k) and no glitch over here!

I withdrew 5 mil, and deposited 3 mil with no problems. Should be fixed now
