Hey guys, just thought it might be worthwhile adding in a sticky thread here to post any and all Flight Rising news snippets that get updated on the site from time to time by the FR Staff.

 

It will be handy to know if you haven't been on FR for the day and come here first I guess

 

So without further ado, here's the first new News bit.

woah what's new for the forums on FR?

I think what is meant by that is that they're upgrading their forum software maybe? Not sure, I think they were re-building the whole site fromthe ground up too to cope with the new influx of players over the last few reg periods. That could be something to do with it?

If you click on the "community update" link, it tells you what they're changing. Apparently they're making it so clicking a ping notification actually takes you to the ping, instead of having to search tons of pages for it.

This thread will be nice, since I don't always check the main page of FR.

Thanks @Satsuki for the clarification Some of those changes will benefit quite a lot of people.

I'm glad the ping actually takes you to the ping, but my sales thread is all wonky now, some item codes won't line up anymore.

I hope I don't have to wait months for them to fix it.

If this is their idea of an update... then I'm concerned for the rest of the site when it gets revamped.

Not sure if it's my monitor, my vision, or the updated forum itself but all the replies in a thread look like one single message now.

Just thankful for the people with banner like signatures to help divide posts up.

Really an eyesore.

I really dislike the marquee, it's cool at first, but now it's kind of annoying.

Ah. That seemed to fix the problem.

Yeah it was just an all white background and none of the boarders, post headers/dividers, etc.

Good as new now though.

Really pretty zone. Awesome familiars. And the new items, even the useless "junk" (presently anyways) look cool.

Props to their art department.

 

My only complaint is the drop rate. Too frequent.
After only a few hours I had a large amount of everything that drops in that zone.

It's as if they don't care about their own economy in the slightest.
"Let's release new items AND MAKE SURE THEY AREN'T WORTH JACK ASAP."

Surprised they didn't make sure the marketplace sells the same things that drop.

Worked so well with the battle supplies after all. -_-

Six new familiars:

 

Forage for Familiars!
Dragons who are skilled at foraging may find some of their food too cute to consume! Clans with a foraging skill of 25 and above have a rare chance of turning up pansy familiars!

 

Rainsong Boars
Rainsong Jungle has grown even more wild, as fallen trees are given new life. Dragons who brave the jungle may now encounter the fierce and determined Barkback Boarand Deadwood Boar! New challenges bring new rewards. Does your clan have what it takes to claim them?

   
  

Longneck Patrols
Boreal Wood has become a contested land; Longneck Beastclans have sent out patrols to scout the area and test the dragons and fauna who traverse this frozen forest.

Today also marks the date of Flight Rising's second anniversary! We wanted to extend a monumental thank you to all of our players, old and new, who have supported us along the way. From the Kickstarter to Beastclans on the Rise to Night of the Nocturne, we have always had an extremely wonderful, helpful, and passionate community and we would not be where we are today without your feedback and all your amazing dragons.

As a thank you, all currently registered accounts will find a special anniversary familiar, the Loga, deposited into their Hoard. It will also be possible to craft additional copiesof the Loga for a very short time in Baldwin's Bubbling Brew. You'll have untilTuesday, June 9th at 22:00 to utilize this recipe before it vanishes forever, and the loga retires! Here's to many more years in the realm of Sornieth! Happy anniversary!

Yes! You have until tomorrow night to craft additional familiars and then they retire. I recommend transmuting a familiar (any) every 30 minutes for the mats to make them.

That familiar reminds me of McDonalds. If the crafting page is not displaying properly, clear your cache. I had to do that to get it to work.
